The story takes place on the continent which is divided into seven countries. Leo was born and grown up in a small village in the Reysol Kingdom. He, who is involved in a battle of Gods, leads his beloved people as a substitute soldier for Goddess that he believes in and keeps on winning battles against other substitute soldiers. From the earth to the celestial world where Gods live…. Leo and his company also visit the underground world where giants, who plan to destroy the earth, live. What they see at last is….

A manga adaptation of the game that's titled "Valkyrie Complex ZERO" started serialization in the male oriented bishoujo manga magazine CompAce on May 26th, 2009. The manga is drawn by Touge Hiro.

I really liked the OP song for this by Ceui which was released a week or two back so I went searching for information on this. Looks like Circus doing their take on Tears To Tiara/Utawarerumono in making an eroge strategy rpg. Here's the PV for the game btw..

ah man, as much as I am delighted to here an anime adaptation of Valkyrie complex was at least hoping they'd make an Eternal fantasy adaptation first.

Has anyone found any scans of the Valkyrie Complex manga floating around, even the RAWS? I've been looking for awhile and it's way past May. x_X

There's no news about the anime version. We'll wait that Valkyrie Complex will start in 2011, hopefully.

I heard it's still in production according to Moonphase's list of upcoming anime, but there's still no news.

well i saw a promo vid and thats what brought me here from what animeph says it should come out in winter 2012 or early 2013

My thinking is that this project was probably silently cancelled. Circus had originally planned to release a D.C. spin-off in this universe, and that too mysteriously disappeared. I suspect that the project didn't sell as they had hoped/expected, and so they're letting it disappear silently into the night. I'm not sure what the point of reviving it would be now, given that the game is so old and the franchise is otherwise dead. So... not impossible, but I think very unlikely. Circus's D.C. III anime is coming in January 2013, though.
