Higurashi manga thread

so the only arc which is not adapted to a manga is Saikoroshi-hen right?
I hope it will get an adaption soon

the arcs that still ongoing are
Matsuribayashi-hen (soon to volume 5)
and
Minagoroshi-hen (soon to volume 6)
how much volumes you think each of them will reach?

here i am with questions again

I think Minagoroshi-hen will end in 6 volume and Matsuribayashi-hen in 6 or 7.
But it's only my idea.

Minagoroshi-hen will end in vol.6 (release in Aug 21st).
I think Saikoroshi-hen manga will start as soon as Matsuribayashi-hen ends.

I've read only 1/2 Kataribanashi-hen mangas. Since only vol.1 and 2 are scanned, those ones from Gangan Online and thank to Joly-san.

Rena blowing up the school. However, it doesn't matter, because it's not the exact same version as the Atonement arc (the Atonement arc we see has Keiichi remembering, etc), it's just a story that's the same, but gets the bad end where Rena blows up the school.

Technically it's not a mess up. Yoigoshi is classified as a question arc as far as I can recall (it's cover art is even designed the same). So it's not that the order was messed up, it's just that it makes that reference to an event we won't see until the Atonement arc. In fact, I think it's a surprisingly clever way to introduce the existence of that "World" to us before even getting to the answer arcs...

now you gave me more questions whats Batsukoishi-hen? does it have a manga adaption or its a novel? can u give me the japanese kanji title for this?

Batsukoishi-hen (罰恋し編) is one of Rei novels, but it wasn't animated, and replaced with Hajisarashi-hen (from Matsuri on PS2).
The manga adaption is not for sell. Because it was a gift from pre-ordering Meakashi-hen and Tsumihoroboshi-hen vol.3...

I bought from an auction and took its photos.
Another manga come with it, Renapan.

omg.. just how many higurashi manga and novels are out there!!
it is too hard to collect them all.. at least the ones written&chosen by R07
now i have to go through auctions like importing from various online shops wasnt enough

i discovered another 2 volumes based on a mahjong game for ds! the story of these two are by R07?

Nope, they're from Jan - a Higurashi mahjong game on PSP and... (I don't know how to call that machine).

Any work of Jiro Suzaki or Natsumi Kei (if there are any) if it's not too much trouble.

And don't like the cover of Matsuribayashi-hen 4 much (which is a shame, because I actually like Hanyuu), but the fifth just oozes badassery. And Rika's pants on Minagoroshi vol. 6 look a bit too big, but that's nitpicking. It's definitely one of my favorite covers of the entire Higurashi manga franchise.

Is there anywhere besides E-bay that sells When They Cry tankoban?

Yes, it came with vol.2 of Himatsubushi-hen, vol.1 of Yoigoshi-hen, Meakashi-hen, Tsumihoroboshi-hen... four books at once.

If you can ship from Japan, I recommend you this site: Book-off Online.
They're old books, but still good quality. I bought Higurashi manga from here, very cheap!!
