I'm convinced, the Cinderella Girls albums suffer from "Windows Syndrome". One set is overall enjoyable, then the next is nothing more than overall mediocre.

Still managed to pull a couple nice tracks from this pile though, they were quite pleasant.

...I thought that Haruka-san was some sub-species of the gremlins? It's only a matter of time until she/it/whatever gains the power to change forms like into the likes of electricity as the gremlins did in the movies, hahaha...ha...I can totally see that happening at some point in the manga. (O_O)

Well there are a lot factors to consider and it depends on what exactly you're focusing on. One thing being that since they're character songs that the lyrics and genre of the music focuses on the characters' personality and background. Another being the VA singing. I'm not particularly knowledgeable in the field but I'd assume singing in a character's voice takes a different type of training then the likes of just speaking in the character's voice. Not to mention that some of the VAs have only done some supporting character roles and nothing too major, some haven't been a VA that long compared to the "veteran" VAs.

Another thing is that us fans tend to voice characters in our mind with our own preferences. For example, as much as I was thrilled that they got Taketatsu Ayana to join in on iM@S I wasn't expecting her to voice a character like Sachiko. Honestly, I've been using Sawashiro Miyuki's voice in my mind for Sachiko and as far as Taketatsu Ayana goes I've been using her voice for Chie-chan. I think that people like us (or maybe it's just me) tend to eventually tie in certain VAs with certain characters with certain personalities thinking that "a character with a **** personality should be voiced by ****"

But yeah, all that aside I still agree. I'm still disappointed with Kirari's CD. Quite literally my LEAST played iM@S tracks. Now Anzu, Ranko, and Airi on the other hand are climbing to the top of my iM@S song list. Nowhere near Chihaya's arcadia and Yayoi's Kirame Kirari though.

Let's see, what other iM@S news is there?

The Nendoroid Petite box of the iM@S:CG characters is out now. Oh, "THE iDOLM@STER CINDERELLA GIRLS SHUFFLE!!" manga has popular manga artists like Puyo (the melancholy of suzumiya haruhi-chan), Kazuho (Kill me baby), etc. joining in.

Got the Top 5 results of the 2nd iM@S:CG poll. (numbers are from the July 2013 issue of CompAce)

1: Kanzaki Ranko - 391,769
2: Anastasia - 236,701
3: Takagaki Kaede - 207,251
4: Koshimizu Sachiko - 187,313
5: Shibuya Rin - 182,692

My hats off to Anastasia for making it into the top 5 while being the only one out of the five that hasn't been voiced yet. I feel that it was kinda unfair since some of the characters have been voiced already. Though I'm also somewhat surprised about the huge gap there is between Ranko and the rest. Sure, I enjoyed Ranko's CD but still, that's quite the gap.

They're going to now release a CD featuring these five girls as a unit. I'm actually quite excited to see who they'll get to voice Anastasia. I'd like to see how they're going to handle the foreign idol. (if I remember correctly she's Russian, don't know if she's half or not)

...at this rate it may actually look like that the CG series will hit the three digit mark at some point in the future, c'mon, they're already 1/4 of the way there.
