Dranz. We're planning a gif making competition in the Naruto gif request thread (Who can make the coolest Sakura Avy?) we are asking not just permission for this, but for you Mods to also get involved in case of a tie. ( LOL! As if, I own all the gif makers!)

Anyway this obviously means we would like some sort of scoring table invented? Maybe you could mention this to NSW and NightWish?

Sort of like the banner competition but much much smaller, it would be a laugh and a first!

P.S This comp is open to absolutely everybody on AS.

Rules:

The gif has to be AS friendly.

Only three gifs per person. (IN THE ONE POST!)

You can not use the same scene as a previous contestant just because you have more skills and can make it better. (IF YOUR SCENE HAS BEEN USED THEN TOO BAD!)

Updating the rules:

*Main subject of the GIF has to be Sakura.
*Max Number of Submissions: Let’s say a max nr. of 3 to vote on for each submitter. All submissions in 1 Post
*Max File size: Either smaller than 100x100 or 51200 bytes or smaller than both .(AS-Friendly)
*Final Submission in Before: Monday night 2400 hours Greenwich Main Time.
*Judging will be done by a general vote with Moderator assistance in case of tie.
*No dupliacting scenes, if yours has been made, too bad, go find another. It's been 109 episodes so there should be plenty.

EDIT: Consider yourselves lucky, I've only got 102 and up, the rest I lent to a friend. Well, I'll try my best anyways.

Whoa! You really have got a tough job then, LOL! I thought just making a cool Sakura gif was enough, but after what you have said I guess some ppl have it harde than others. (But then again you're a leet gif maker so a handy cap aint so bad.)

There are ppl on these forums that might not be as freaking weird as we are about Naruto, but they still watch it and believe me they are very good gif makers.

Awww poo, I can't play...

Since I only do GIFs for School Rumble, Mai-HiME, Kannazuki no Miko, and Gundam Seed Destiny nowadays, I deleted all my past Naruto episodes (and no, I'm not downloading any new ones currently). Maybe I can submit something I've done in the past? Though I don't think I've made any Sakura ones that can top what you, Shin Kell, or Palani have been making recently.

aw Oni, do try, i love coming in this thread to see tha many great gifs that are made. tho this contest is involving one of tha weakest characters it'll be cool to see what all tha gif sennin (sp?) come up with.

This is the only entry I'm going to submit since this is the only Sakura GIF I made that I actually like. Unfortunately, I didn't do any from the hair-cutting scene (which was about the only time Sakura was "cool"...unless if you want to count the Inner-Sakura scenes as well), so I didn't really have any "cool" scenes to select from...

Hmmm, yes you are indeed correct Sarc, I guess I just didn’t expect it all to happen so fast.

See I still don't know how we are going to score this event.

There needs to be a formula, other wise its just going to end up in chaos.

This is hard, you see its not just like rate that avy, its a comp and there has to be a winner.

Yeah thats what I was thinking, I was only gonna do two.

and to get that gif down under the size limit and be 100x100 I have to have it at set at 16 colors which I think looks bad. Its set at 60 right now. I guess I could of made it 32 colors and had it a little bit bigger but I didn't fiddle around enough with it.

It can be done and still look ok..........



Ok is the key word here. Obviously the gif has to look good, but that is not the only marker. If you find a scene that looks fucking cool but is not as good quality as an other don't worry about it.

It might just be me but I’m not judging on quality alone believe me.

Yeah Its always a tough choice for me when I have make a size vs quality sacrifice to make a gif under the size limit.

Shay, unless you actually went back to that scene and did the GIF yourself, merely resizing Tommy's GIF 't isn't the best idea as it is almost ALWAYS better to shrink down than to blow up.

Save a spot for me in this thing. Shay Tommy got the obvious one done first (*chomp*) so I missed the ball on that one. I've found a few other things that should work though.

EDITED! Fixed the wrong name. And also, my images are done! These are all courtesy episode 42.

Ugly quality, but I wanted the whole scene.
