No change, I just rewind the clock back a little bit.

4. I used this idea, she's only a head in the front, hailed as prodigy etc. basically when she said she felt treated like a mascot of perfection, she's not lying. It's not that she's not good enough, but age is age, and experience is experience, she's too young and inexperienced.

@ Senpai - This becomes a noodle incident in Shadow when Ichika asked her how the heck she's the leader while her parents are very much alive. The question isn't given a straight answer, but she hints that her parents simply didn't want to do it. Her dad's laid back and relaxed while her mom wants to teach her kid's to be mature and good leaders. As you can see by their personaties, she obviously failed.

@ Senpai - You gotta wonder, why didn't they get Laura to guard Ichika? She was the one who stopped M's attack while Tatenashi was back in his house. Granted, that was because she was stalking him, but....

I wonder about that to, then again case of Tatenashi it's because she screwed the rules via connection and position.

Oh, I mean multi-vector attack, Silent Zephyr, Blue Tears, and Kanzashi's Uchigane can easily beat AIC. As for the reason Cecilia unable to at her first sortie, nobody know AIC has limited coverage until Ichika of all people found it.

In the early novel, Houki and Laura were paired together for the tag tournament. Why would they allow expert candidates to pair with Trainees with Uchigane's?

Side note - Why does everybody call Ichika useless? Granted, he's basically never moved the plot on his own, but saying he's a completely worthless fighter is a bit odd. He almost beat Cecilia and lasted 30 mins while he had no training and stuck in First shift.

Either that, or in case of my story, Houki's skill doesn't translate well to I.S. combat due to Sync level issue.

Frankly, I never said Ichika useless myself. Even though he's not the strongest or brightest harem protagonist, he's not the worst either. I hate it the most when a Harem protagonist become a load who can only whine while his girlfriends kick a lot of ass, and Ichika definitely is not one of them. In fact, I.S. revived my interest of harem again

(Granted, not necessary has to kick ass himself, the point is that he can keep himself safe, Rito Yuuki being example of how otherwise normal guy survive apocalyptic cat-fight without being a weak whiner )

Actually lampshaded by Ichika who request that don't expect him too high. But well, fan dumb is fan dumb.

Granted, point of harem anime is to showcase the girls after all, not the guy. Hell, Reverse harem work the same way, showcasing the guys while the female protagonsit took a backseat. But again, fan dumb is called that for a reason.

Did we ever saw a strong/decently developed harem protagonist protested? Unless he/she's being a stu/sue, never.
