There is no way this series is ending because of a magazine decision it sells far to well with only Magi, Silver Spoon and Detective Conan out selling it in shounen sunday.
Still it looks like the volume 26 is going to be 1 or 2 chapter longer than normal as 266 would be the ending otherwise. |

The series also got less humorous as time went on. I think the last time I laughed was the Romeo & Juliet play, and even that took a while to happen. |

Time to wrap up the game and bring over the "Congratulation" screen.
I just want my favorite series has a memorable ending. TWOGK is not a shonen - a string of battles. It's a story and has to end, one way to another. The unexciting build up to this revelation is an unargueable evidence. Not to mention my favorite Haqua was put on a bus... |

I will say this about the latest development in TWGOK:
Elsie and Keima have always been the One True Pairing in this series and anyone who argues otherwise has an agenda. And I say this as probably the biggest Haqua fan you'll meet but Elsie + Keima 4 life.

hmmm... that was unexpected and the same time expected. Elsie should have a role but I didn't expect her to be the final boss but who is she?
is she nyx? is she erebus? she appears when the people summon her and the world got destroyed. its like she is the harbinger of the end.

I guess all I'm waiting for now is Nikaidou seeing Onii-chan one more time. This whole arc has not been up to par. Why did it drag the way it did? Every time I thought Keima was going to arrive he had to do more BS and that would have been fine if it was entertaining. I can't even care if I tried about Elsie and that whole conundrum at this point.

full appreciation for those who already predicted this...
since Tenri's appeared, I always support Tenri ending... however, after this chapter, I think I'll jump ship to Elsie ending.... wow! I didn't see it coming.... so it's true that the first girl that appeared is the true heroine well, I think Elsie is very adorable in this chapter.. love it... especially.. that hug... and collar removed |

A sudden reveal near the end that has little relevance... The arc has been focused on Keima's business in the past, which was necessary to prevent a time paradox. Satyr hasn't had much screentime in this arc, and awakening that weapon doesn't even match what we heard from Dokuro's final message in the beginning (they intended to capture goddesses). We saw them having a conversation through those floating screen-like things once, but the only time they felt like a threat was when those colossi attacked the Akanemaru - and even then they were controlled by Luna who isn't a part of Satyr. All in all, they felt like a nuisance instead of the villains.
And now we learn that Elsie, who has been with us since the beginning, who has never been anything more than Keima's companion and always stayed out of conflicts in the New Hell, is what Satyr was after. Yes, and we learn that after they are apparently no longer a threat. Bad storytelling is bad. Edit: perhaps I've exaggerated, all I'm saying that the Satyr subplot was a waste of time, and connecting it to Elsie like so was a bad move. Last edited by Altes; 2014-04-05 at 00:04. |
