that's really cool, specially the art from the hanging glass colored airplanes and using the light to make the scenery on the wall,
And never knew something like that about ants, cool

Artificial clouds, created by Berndnaut Smilde. These are supposedly created by carefully adjusting the moisture and temperature in the room, among other things. Supposedly these are true images and real clouds, and not image manipulations or visual trickery:

You can see more from his gallery here.

I love National Geographic's photos of the year. Simply astounding.Sometimes, the photos may seem ordinary to most people, but it's the story behind it that is fascinating.

Rivers forming tree-like figures on the desert of Baja California, Mexico.

The mist rising over the Agra.

Great Japanese maple tree in the Portland Japanese Gardens.

A snorkeler swims over life-size statues near Cancún, Mexico.More than 400 of the permanent sculptures were installed in late 2010 in the National Marine Park of Cancún, Isla Mujeres, and Punta Nizuc (map of the region) as part of a major artwork called "The Silent Evolution." The installation is the first endeavor of a new underwater museum called MUSA, or Museo Subacuático de Arte.Created by Mexico-based British sculptor Jason deCaires Taylor, the Caribbean installation is intended to eventually cover more than 4,520 square feet (420 square meters), which would make it "one of the largest and most ambitious underwater attractions in the world," according to a museum statement.

The Cancun one is kinda freaky, all those people underwater...

Kinda reminds me of the terracotta warriors. Only not mysterious since they were built two years ago.

That brings back a lot of memories. Seeing the backgrounds alone and admiring them without the action of the game to focus on makes me realize just how beautiful most of them actually are. Very neat.

Can we post our own photos here as well? Yes? Cool.
Took some shots of bubbles today. I added some glycerin to make them extra colorful!
