No. Pee wouldn't be that bright yellow. Also, there are two bottles of that yellow soft drink standing right in front of her computer screen, with one open and half empty - meaning she has apparently drunk from it. If it really was pee, she certainly wouldn't place it right in front of her computer screen.

So, Rei wants to go on a suicide mission, sort of, but "thanks" to Himawari finally finding out someone was powering up the Alone, she ends up captured. Considering the first part of the episode was sort of bonding between Akane and Rei, the sort of cliffhanger end makes me think there'll be a bit of drama in the next episode...

So after a bonding moment in the first half with Rei and Akane, everything hits the fan in the second half. Himawari had discovered the source of the Alone powerups, allowing a plan to be formed to find out who's been shooting the arrows to be enacted as they fight the next Alone.

This of course leads to Rei getting cornered and finally facing off against Akane... and now Rei thinks Akane was only trying to be her friend so she could be set up. Yep, it's gonna get ugly...

While escaping from the crow's orders, Rei is going on a suicide mission, but is confronted by Akane to stay home for a day by learning friendship lessons. However the next day, Akane learns that Rei dissapears from her house, but is tasked with her friends by Yuri to defeat another Alone in the rural area. As Rei is finishing her last moments by shooting the Alone with some of her arrows, Akane arrives, but is shocked that her friendship with Rei was a lie. I finally learn more about the Alone's secrets according to Himawari, I find it funny on how Akane exposes her butts towards Rei during their bath scene that they share together (even though they're both females) considering how much I remembered so many buttshots early on. The same goes on how Rei gets exposed naked in front of the crow at the beginning of the episode as well, which is pretty amusing when a scene that was supposed to be serious ended up like that. I can't believe there's some deeper meaning behind the mayonnaise as well, and the ending makes everything worse. Still, I really want to see how Akane will feel after Rei ended up captured in the next two episodes.

And Vol. 5 also has a soundtrack for its bonus CD. I have no idea if the last one will be a vol. 3 of the OST, or have at least one new song. I don't mind soundtracks, I just like vocal songs better. Even then, four character songs and six ending themes isn't bad at all. But I hope for at least one new song for the finale.

So... I had a suspicion that the feathers were, in a way, like the command seal in Fate / Stay Night: when the last one is gone, Rei goes too. I couldn't imagine there wouldn't be a cost for depleting them all beyond just not having any more arrows. They probably represent whatever power was used to keep her alive when her world ended, and whatever power is keeping her in Akane's world. It also likely means that if the crow is ever killed, Rei will die too.

...All right, people, for the love of all that is holy, if any episode needed a different ending theme IT WAS THIS ONE. You CANNOT go from that moment into that ED. The mood whiplash is going to kill someone.

She was always WAY far away on shore from where the fighting took place, so I doubt she ever saw them clearly beyond the "lights". And she only was able to pull off 1 shot. She was about to fire more when the security droids were on her and forced her to flee.
