Just saw episode 8 and I can't get it out my head it was sooooo good ..Everyone must watch!! kaname x yuuki fans will love it to death...I must re-watch now...

I agree completely with carmolita -- of course, I'm one of those KanamexYuuki fans.

I thought ep7 was good, but this is overwhelming. Deeper into the vampires' world we go. Maybe Yuuki got used to her new self too quickly, but the episode was stunning anyway. And the new Yuuki is really something: all the same love and determination, but with strange new powers added.

The manga has its own excellence, but this episode brought anime's strengths to the story.

This is a way of making incest seem acceptable, since we are dealing with "monsters" rather than people, and we have had a long build-up with Kaname and Yuuki not seeming to be related. Perverse sexual undertones are near the heart of the appeal of most vampire fiction, anyway, I think.

The little Yuuki was a bit fakey, I thought, but those scenes were still pretty marvelous. When her mother made her human and died....

Looking at the episode staff list on the Japanese Wikipedia page, you see that this show uses a lot of different staff. Different director and animation director for every episode, and new storyboarder for almost every one. This ep was directed by Asami Matsuo, who directed episodes of Higurashi and Scrapped Princess. The animation director was Aono Atsushi, who did episodes of Death Note, Nijuumensou no Musume, Naruto, Baccano, etc. The storyboard was by Kondou Nobuhiro, who is the director of, of all things, Keroro Sougun. Script by Fujisaki Ayuna, who did ep3, and was lead writer on Night Wizard and also on the live-action Here is Greenwood. In any case, I think they all did good jobs on this ep.

Indeed. Vampires who are just like humans but with a different "diet" aren't really vampires if you ask me...They need to be, well, not necessarily "evil", but wholly "different".

In a fictional story, I'm absolutely fine with incest... but this has it's downsides - I think my main reaction to this part of the story back when I saw this in the manga was "Ah, so you've been an imouto-con all this time, Kaname"

The little Yuuki was a bit fakey, I thought, but those scenes were still pretty marvelous. When her mother made her human and died....

Everything was well-paced and again with the music ( I MUST get the VK season2 OST xD )
And of course the KanamexYuuki scenes were beautiful...in a creepy sad way ( poor Yuuki being frightened of herself )

Can't wait for the next episode.

Nothing much to say, It was perfect, however am not a fan for Kaname, on the other hand, I really enjoyed the ending, since we're going to be seeing more Zero next week.

When people die two things keep growing they are hair and nails, and that's because they are composed of dead skin cells. Vampires are considered to be the undead (meaning dead but still alive). SO, between the spell being broken and yuki now being no longer human, but in fact dead. It illustrates the point as to who she is, as she told zero, " the Vampire side ate the Human side I am no longer the yuki you knew"

You're talking about level E and zombies? >.>
When a vampire looses his human side, all he does is drink blood. There are many reasons to consider Zero, Yuuki and Kaname(well not sure about him...) as humans in heart.

Ahh; ok... I was just like, wait? WTF? When her hair grew longer, but then shouldn't that mean her nails should be like as long as her hair too? XP

Well what we have been waiting for finally happened and im sure anime viewers and manga readers like myself were over joyed with Vamp Yuki they did a nice job animating her eyes and long hair Vamp Yuki is just gorgeous. But we have a long road to go and things will not be getting any easier for anyone not anytime soon.

What really summed this episode up for me was after Yuki was turned back into her vampire self she went to see Zero. She wanted to see him and speak with im but was very hesitant once she got there. Then you hear the click of Zero's gun from the other side of the door and the mirror images of Zero sitting holding the th gun to the door and Yuki standing in front of it was heartbreaking. That door represents the wall that just grew between them in a matter of hours. Yuki know represents all that Zero hates in the world.


I still think the world is not big enough for Zero, Kaname one of them has to go. By the end of the series either one of them will be dead or honestly everyone will be. Rido included Kaname will not let him go not for any reason and if he has to destroy Shiki's body to do it he may very well do so.

Finally , a little action yeah ...... Me i think if Yuki continue to look for Zero , she will hurt him more and more and in the end Zero will suicide lol ! I don't like incest but since the start , we know that in the end kaname X yuki , because all conditions are here (she loved him since there are little , he saved her ....... ) Me i don't like kaname but it can't be helped , its the author's choice !Even i don't like a lot this anime (note 2/5 cause it lakes actions , fights .... ) i will continue to watch for what zero will doing next and in the end , if he will be alive or not and still be a vampire !

Vampire Knight Guilty is peaking toward a mythical scenario. With the clues thrown at episodes 5 to 7 it became easy to speculate about the truth.

However, now that the truth has been unleashed, Yuuki's fate with Kaname and then with Zero can no longer return to those peaceful days anymore.

Spoiler:

Sometimes I hate stories that involved a missing or concealed heir whose existence has to remain in an underground mystery to prevent that scion from falling to the greed or heartlessness of an antagonistic relative.

I want to theorize that the main reason why Rido Kuran coveted lay his hand on Yuuki (and which he still does) is for the purpose of taking advantage of her pure vampire blood to give rise to his original body, and even I have my suspicions that Rido's former body from ten years ago was not his original.

But to do that, Rido first had to waver and shake Kaname off balance, or force his hand on the latter to make him move where he desired.

The plan, however, did not fulfill to the original expectations as he intended due that Kaname introduce his own pieces in the chessboard. One of them being Kiryuu Zero to protect Yuuki, of course.

Spoiler for Kaname's nature:

It's clear on my mind that Kaname never saw his class brethren as mere pieces. He was actually glad and content, that Aidou kept on treating him as his friend in spite of the truth about the Shizuka incident, and even the latter along with Akatsuki pledged their unwavering friendship after discovering Yuuki's status as a pureblood.

While he cannot reciprocate or answer back Rukas' feelings, nonetheless, Kaname blessed Ruka by entrusting her with the task of protecting the day class.

And, as several of you discussed a week before, Ruka due to the truth but more so for those assertive words that Kaname delivered to her, she has moved on and changed her character to a mature side of hers that surely the audience will be treated to see in the next episode.

Spoiler for What about Yuuki and Zero:

As I commented earlier, now that Yuuki has awakened back as a pure blood with all her restored memories nothing will be the same for her in regards to Zero and viceversa.

Yuuki's flaw was selfishness and her fear for running away from the truth, which is not bad at all because shows to the audience her frailty and vulnerability to identify and relate with.

Even if she awoken back as a pureblood and her former humanity gradually dissolved into thin air, her humant heart and kindness remained anchored deep in her soul.
She's the same bumbly and loveable Yuuki but with powerhouse, vampire powers.

The thing is how Zero is going to deal with all of this, since Yuuki all along is the thing he dreads and hates the most.
The true reason is that deep within his subconscious Zero became attached to Yuuki and grew within himself a feeling to protect her.

However, now that Yuuki returned to her former self, thanks due to Kaname, Zero realizes that he's no longer needed and there's no reason for Yuuki to think or worry about him now that she has Kaname with her due to her recovered memories.

That's what I don't like, because it feels that Zero was reduced to a third-party role whose utility has expired right after Yuuki awoken, and there's no reason anymore for him to remain in the battlefield or at the same side with Yuuki.

Furthermore, Yuuki's human heart aches for all the burden, the trouble, and the sorrow she gave to Zero.

Yuuki tries her best to remain empathetic, but she's afraid of meeting with Zero face to face, as her subconscious vampire nature is picking on her for casting off any dignity left on her with that thought.

We dont know that yet even in the manga its still very much undecided, yes Yuki loves Kaname and has for a long time but one can not deny the feelings she may harbor for Zero even though she may be a vampire she was raised amongst humans and its still a core part of her personality. In the end its Yuuki's choice and its not exactly incest Kaname is not her real brother. The author has left several loop holes concerning the romantic triangle it will just take some time for us to get to it. The type of story we have here its obvious that the ending will bitter sweet the big bad guy will be defeated but im sure that there is not enough room for Kaname and Zero one of them will go and it doesnt matter which one because it will a burden that Yuki might have to bare.
