If only Raku's and Chitoge's first meeting such as calling Gorilla and Bean Sprout in the first episode did not happen.
Then in this episode Raku's opinion about Chitoge might be different.

Raku's thought of Chitoge is not really changed much, no rather changed back to his usual thought of Chitoge.

It is about Shu's suggestion about Romeo and Juliet play, so it is not surprising if the scripts are meant to throw Raku and the others into chaos.

I hope you don't burn me for this, but, If anything, this episode shows that Raku isn't worth of any of the girls. Marika is too awesome for him, he has left Kosaki behind for Chitoge in past episodes and now he fell sleep being with her, He hurt Chitoge in this ep (IRL that is enough for a woman to stop her crush or destroy any possibilities with her for a long time). And well, interaction between him and Tsugumi fortunately has been low, otherwise, Tsugumi will be a victim too.

It's always the mix of MC density and tsuntsun tendencies that cause this.

Well, it would be a very very short story if Raku accepted any of them this early. This is pretty much a standard shounen harem with the MC dithering between multiple girls while not actually commiting to anyone in particular.

The show is pretty much sustained by
Onodera being plagued by bad luck & shyness,
Chitoge/Tsugumi is too tsundere with Raku,
Marika is too aggressive hence scaring off Raku.

Yeah, it's such a waste to keep her beautiful feminine body hidden behind the masculine outfit. But at least we get to see it when Raku discovered her true gender for the first time.

beach time sure from chitoge & marika "feel" tsumugi, shu being issei perv, etc then pick straw yet raku & chitoge again yet during chitoge get more "hmm" on raku.

then onodera had talk with raku give chitoge wonder on it yet raku was napping whole time.

next day chitoge had talk with onodera for advice while sand building yet talks wonder chitoge got "hmm" for raku?

night time fire works on way yet raku check on chitoge give being both had he said she said usual yet get worry mood etc well cue "fire works of argue".

beach time over give back to school raku on "hmm" after beach then chitoge appear yet being bit too "quiet" then shu call in for school play of doing having romeo & juilet with raku & chitoge.

give everyone going sure on it yet chitoge said "nope".
