So the translation is finally out (who knows how long had it been since the release, but hey!). So many bittersweet ending for the couples in this series, and for me only Gilbert, Oz and Alice got their happy ending in it I'm feeling kinda sad about Ada and Vincent though Which is surprising because I never really thought about them before the ending

I'm happy with the ending even if there were many partings. Jun Mochizuki clearly spent great effort in weaving the story and was able to tie up everything neatly in the end. I'm very happy I stuck with the series throughout this long period of time.
Have to say, unlike the relationships in other series each couple brings a different story that just adds towards Pandora Hearts' instead of taking it away and being a distraction. Just for fun my take on some of them. Spoiler for ending couples:

The ending was beautiful. It was a nice bittersweet ending and I felt it fit this seiries. I'm happy for Oz, Alice, and Gil but feel bad for Ada and Vincent.
I am going to have to reread this some time though since I got lost while following this and I am still confused on a few things.

Oh my gosh how perfect an ending. Beautiful and bittersweet. PH is definitely up with my fave manga, it was solid from start to finish. Rufus telling the chains to get away from his woman, that part was awesome.
I knew those first several pages were a dream but seeing Break and Elliot one last time... I'll miss this manga but look forward to Mochizoki-sensei next project.

Oh my god, this final chapter was beautiful, bittersweet and full of feels, I'm so glad that a friend of mine recommended this to me back in 2011.
I love the first part and I'm happy that Oz and Alice are with Gil again though I feel bad for Rufus and Ada. I'd like a remake of the anime, but it's pretty much impossible.

^ According to the cover, it'll be an official guide book.
Volume 24 is going to be 304 pages! Most of the volumes up to the last few have been either 176 or 192 pages, with the latest ones being 208 or 240. They could have made 25 volumes. Wonder why Enix decided to hold off on another release for so long. |

I'm pretty sure they announced that volume 23 would be the last volume, which is why there hasn't been a release in over a year. There's usually 4-5 chapters in one volume, and after vol. 22, there are now 12 chapters. That's a pretty big 'miscalculation.' Guess she ran out of characters for the volume cover?

Was there any cases of a series releasing 3 volumes at once? I've seen some series releasing 2 volumes quite a few times before, but never 3 at once. And I guess because it's cheaper to buy 2 thick volumes than 3 regular sized volumes. |

Don't think it was a lack of choice. Jack could have been used on the cover, perhaps depicted in his sinister true-self. Oz and Alice managed to slip in twice as well.
Maybe SE just wanted to take the opportunity since the final chapter was just a few months ago. Having the final volume release close to the last chapter guarantees capturing more interest. 24+1 certainly seems to capitalize on that.

Oh my god, Yen Press announced a limited edition box set for Pandora Hearts at AX today. I already own every volume, but I think I'm going to buy this anyway. Love the series, and the set looks so nice.
*crosses fingers for them to finally license There is.* |

Necro time!... although this isn't the worst necro I've ever done or seen...
Anyways, this had been a case of "oh yeah, I should finish this old manga at some point..." I'm glad I marathoned it over the last few weeks. It was monthly and so high-quality... but every single chapter is a damned. cliffhanger. It really does need to be marathoned. And damn, it was a RIDE! Without spoiling anything for those who want to read it themselves... once you find out the truth behind the Tragedy of Sablier and why it occured, you just know this isn't going to have a honey-sweet happy-tea-party ending. It is a manga about tragedy, which normally I avoid... but all the deaths were handled well, and the ending itself was a decent bittersweet one... on the good side of bittersweet. So many twists, turns, and just generally things going batshit insane... I'm glad I never fully forgot about.
