I also don't understand what's the reason for calling Touma a level 0 if they already revealed he is not an esper though it will reflect on the idea that Touma is the weakest and the enemy is the strongest. Its a battle of weakest vs strongest and seriously Touma can't be consider strong. His above average but strong? nope. he is just happens to be an anti-alien being. Hamazura with assault rifle can kill him easily if he isn't prepared. Touma just happens to be had brains for battle and that's all there is to it. If he tries to look smart he ended up getting stupid or gets scolded by Thor.

I don;t think that's all that accurate. For one thing it puts Fiamma below Misha despite him being stronger than her, which we know because he was able to tear her out of the sky and make her do his bidding (insert evil laugh here). Unless it's referring to the current Fiamma in which case my bad.

Besides power in the Raildex verse isn't exactly linear so a power level chart is always going to have problems.

All the scene point that Birdway try to make him see that she took the bait...

...I didn't get that at all from the scene... in fact it seems to explicitly state that she did fall for it.

Birdway called someone using her cell phone, narrowed her eyes, and said, “Yes, yes. That’s right. I met some interference but from an unexpected source. Gremlin has won over Kamijou Touma.”

She flipped through the student handbook with her bloody hands.

Birdway had not performed first aid for a purely sentimental reason. Since she had been thrown off the trail of the only person who they could get any kind of hint from, she had wanted a new source of information. She had also had that logical reason.

Kamijou Touma had been defeated, but she knew who was behind his actions.

With that fact in mind, Birdway continued speaking

“Kamijou Touma is working with…Marian Slingeneyer. He has her contact information written in his handbook. I can’t read the numbers though because sweat or something has made the ink run. At any rate, it seems Gremlin’s base is in District 12. If we want to crush them in a surprise attack, this would be the perfect chance to concentrate our forces.”

Both what she said and her internal monolouge say that she believed him.

I think this discussion has been addressed several times already... I don't feel like looking for it, but there was supposed to be a part that stated that Touma was indeed taking the "curriculum".

Of course, maybe he's completely immune to it, but so far it's more likely that he is indeed an esper lvl 0. It's not like you cannot be something else in addition to being an esper, there's even a magician-esper after all.

I agree with you. If Touma hadn't been injured so much, she could have tried to fool him into believing his plan worked and then follow him to get to the root. But he was gravely injured and there was no telling if he would be available soon enough. Other than that, I don't know how she'd take advantage of playing along...

I think Leivinia really took the bait.

Because it's symbolic; a level 0 is the lowest of the low in this society and he's going up against powerful people wielding out of this world abilities with only a right hand. This isn't like Mahouka where the protagonist is actually super haxx with multiple haxx powers and counting, Kamijou really is 'weak'.

But to put it in another way- what else would you call him? Being a Level 0 is his identity, sort of like a delinquent's pride.
