Orihime's chest is smaller than her manga counterpart, but still respectable

Somebody better not dare me to do a manga/screencap comparison ...

Thanks in advance, nice juicy good rep for whoever does this for me.^^

Edit: Oh and a gmail invite is also up for grabs to whomever translates the song for me. You don't have to pollute the thread, just send it to me in a PM.
Can you tell i'm desperate?
Actually our TL did the whole song before the series even aired in preperation (since we didn't know which parts would be in the TV-version)...
I can't send, as it's his work... but you can ask him in our channel if he'd be willing to share it...

If you don't mind an amateur's work, then I'll take a shot at this. Be warned, the song contains more complex language than I originally expected, so this may be off, but I got it into something I don't mind posting.

Italics represent the translated Japanese verses.

Life is Like a Boat by Rie Fu

Nobody knows who I really am
I never felt this empty before
And if I ever need someone to come along
Who’s gonna comfort me and keep me strong?

We are all rowing a boat of fate
The waves keep on comin’ and we can’t escape
But if we ever get lost on our way
The waves will guide you through another day

I know we have so far to go
Within the connections I see
Thoughts of darkness, and so
I adjust my mask of serenity

I offer up a prayer
And wait for a new day
In the brilliance of the shining sea
Until there is a shore

Nobody knows who I really am
Maybe they just don’t give a damn
But if I ever need someone to come along
I know you will follow me and keep me strong

People go fishing in their hearts
And have become deceitful
And again a new cycle of the moon
Brings someone into my heart
(note: this verse had me the most confused )

And every time I see your face
The ocean seeps out of my heart
You make me wanna strain at the oars
And soon I can see the shore

Oh, I can see the shore
When will my heart see the shore?

I want you to know who I really am
I never thought I’d feel this way towards you
And if you ever need someone to come along
I will follow you and keep you strong

Still, the journey continues on
Even on a gentle day
And again a new cycle of the moon
Sends a shine into my heart

I offer up a prayer
And wait for a new day
In the brilliance of the shining sea
Until there is a shore

And every time I see your face
The ocean seeps out of my heart
You make me wanna strain at the oars
And soon I can see the shore

To the uncertain fate of the heart
The waves are the stages of the moon
To us it seems as if
It’s a wonderful journey

What a wonderful journey

-----

edit: Thanks for the offer, Shay and I'm glad I could help, but I don't have any intention of using gmail for now, so save the invite for a rainy day.

Ok whats your channel? Whats his name? or better yet just ask him for me, if he already has it without having to use his brain (Copy and Paste) then i'm sure he'd just gladly give it to you, don't you think?

I'm even offering sexual favours now....(Or the next best thing anyway)

Edit: *Listening and reading* brb.

That makes perfect sense, well to me anyway. brb

Edit:3 Ok done. Thank you so much hooliganj that sounds just perfect to me, and can't you just tell why it's a Japanese English mix? It just wouldn't sound right in all English. Oh how I love this song, and her voice is just perfect for it, I don't think anyone else could have pulled it off. And she live in the UK aswell I may have to become a stalker. Ok now for the rewards! Pos rep and a gmail invite is on it's way. Is that ok with you?
Again thank you ever so much.

Edit:4 Just pm me any old email and i'll get that gmail invite to you a.s.a.p Even if you already have one it can't harm to have another can it? I have a couple myself and have invites coming out of my ears.

But thanks again. Wow I really was desperate. *Takes a deep breath I have it now calm down*

Edit:5 Ok....I respect you even more now. Expect good rep on a regular basis, well as regular as AS will allow me.

Wow, I was wrong - they've stayed pretty consistent with the manga after all.

also did anyone catch that boogiepop cell phone theme during the scene when Rukia was being suspicious of Orihime's bruises?
Ah! You noticed that, but you didn't understand it. I believe you meant the tune right after Orihime turns to leave and continuing while she crosses the street.

That wasn't a cell phone or Boogiepop. That was the sound of the crossing walk. Many crossingwalks in Boogiepop played that song also and you'll notice it in other anime from time to time. The melody is actually a traditional japanese song. I understand that while many crossing walks used to play that song, it is now very rare to find one.

Not quite, Rukia seems to have grown a cupsize

But Orihime has been rather boring in the manga up till chapter 14 [the last one I read]. Pray this changes.

When I was in Fukuoka the crosswalks used one melody for north/south one direction and a different melody for east/west. I can't remember if it was the same song as this one in Bleach though. v_v

Crosswalks in Okayama used the same cheep cheep/kuku kuku sound that I hear in Los Angeles.

Wow really?! I learned something new about metro-japanese culture =] I always thought all the animes borrowed the theme haha... Cuz they had it in Animatrix as well I always thought it was a cell phone ring tone haha.. altho it would be tite to have a ring tone like that..

I don't care too much for the changes, because I feel a lot of the manga's slight downfalls have been corrected.

I am loving Bleach so far. I can't wait for next week >__<

I wonder what book did she use to learn how to address others, one about old Imperial Japanese Navy? The officers were supposed to "kisama" each other AFAIR.

Wow. I set my expectations way too high cause it looked like Naruto's team did this. I was not impressed with the first episode so I guess its just not my thing. I don't get a chance to read the manga so maybe thats why. Cliche's up the wazoo but I'm not gonna bore people with the reasons why I don't like it cause many people here do.

Actually, if you have the Animatrix DVD, check the extras for the making of Beyond. The director explains a bit about the tune and what it means.

Well I believe Rukia was reading shoujo manga in the manga at one point.
