So, the race begins now for to find a replacement love interest for lovable American doofus Sam Witwicky.

Who do you think should fill Megan's shoes?

I for one would go for Emma "Hermione Granger" Watson. Mean and sassy wrapped in a sexy body is getting SO old. Time to go back to wholesomely sweet and beautiful, don't ya think, Mr Bay?

I think they just shouldn't make a 3rd movie. 1st was okay, but didn't do much for anyone who wasn't an action fanboy. 2nd was just weird (every girl at the kid's college was no bigger than a size 4 and wore heavy makeup (college girls, really??? You know there are at least some makeup-virgin girls at college, of all places), the group spent, what, an hour of the movie looking for a huge robot Megatron in a desolate desert?), was way too slow, had totally unnecessary sexual innuendo (that masturbation joke at the beginning made me gag, and the dude ripping his pants off and showing it all off the the camera was undescribably horrible).

A Transformers without Megan Fox? What else can Transformers give audiences? Not much, if anything.

Apart from Emma being ugly, this is a fair point. The sex appeal was the only thing the movies had going for them. I would imagine many other people would think like this as well. They're gonna lose a lot of cash on this one.

It is. It's quite easy to find someone sexier than her. Scarlett Johansson, for example.

Not to mention Megan looks way more high maintenance than Scarlett. Like, as I was watching the first movie, I thought "why do they need someone to be so sexy when she's only in High School?" She looked way older than she was supposed to be....

Huh... I didn't find any source link in the OP's post, so I did some digging. Her Hitler comment was in an interview last year, and seems to me there's several versions as to what happened.

1. She didn't want to continue her role in TF3.
2. Paramount didn't pick up her contract.
3. Bay and Fox got tired of each other.
4. Fox got tired of Bay's behaviour.

#1 seems more likely considering Bay blogged about looking forward to working with Fox, although #4 starts to look more likely when we read the last part of his post

But enough of that, this is the Transformers thread! And it seems John Malkovich AKA Cyrus the Virus is on board, now that's something. Wonder what's his role in all this.

I'm not trolling, Megan Fox is the only reason the first two movies didn't totally suck, and I don't need to watch Jennifer's Body cuz I already got the screen shots of the 'watchable parts'

Japan did the ground work and the US then made it what it was today with the cartoon and comics.

as a woman I thought 2 was a little over the top with Megan, I mean seriously who paint sprays like that >.<
she was more or less turning more and more porny as the movie went on, though I did like the shot of her in Egypt when she had her face covered and just her eyes visible.
Even so I think Megan is one of the hottest looking piece of asses in the celeb world right now, she is just very high maintenance.
Admitted in an interview that she hardly eats, said sometimes for weeks but that is humanly not possible.. I bet that in the future year we will hear some anorexia reports on her though..

I however hate it when in sequels characters get replaced by other actors because the actor gives the person a face and again it is the good ol' switchero. As a viewer it needs time to get to used to the character all over again:
IM: Rhodey switch was not that bad since I enjoyed 2 more than 1 but the actor of 1 was in look better fitting..
Batman Begins - Dark Knight: Because of the success of the sequel I can hardly see the first actress for Rachel being Rachel.. Maggie Gyllenhaal is to me Rachel, she was a lot better.
And now this movie also most likely.. Megan will always remain Mikaela for me
