Got my Vol 4. Interesting that it comes with a kid like map (as if it was draw by a kid) of Akibastar, with a more detailed part of Akiba Island (where is the AKB0048 theater) and Akiba Fashion Town.

I doubt that anyone will care, but at the latest Tokyo Dome concert (that was released on DVD a few days ago) there's a MC about AKB0048 as well. They have a small animated sequence in which most of the idols "look forward" to the Tokyodome event and they tried hooking up Karen to some device so that her movements will be mimicked by an animated Nagisa on screen behind her... which didn't really work.

And Acchan's real name? Katagiri Atsuko. She is as close as she gets to the real Acchan down to the name

Do you have the source for that name? I once found one place saying her name was that, but others didn't. The place didn't say where they got it, and i found the name to sound a bit fishy with the given name just being Atsuko and the surname being the exact same one as Tsubasa, although if they were sisters I would expect it to be mentioned already on the scenes where Tsubasa thinks of Acchan on season 1.

EDIT: Looking around more, it does seems to be indeed a rumor that got out of hand. On the Japanese wikipedia they list it but saying on that side that a source is needed. On the japanimation website they used to have it there (as it's possible to see through google's cache for it), but now they took that part down.

Now if we could find the source, then this will confirm Tsubasa's very close connection with Acchan, but unfortunately, we couldn't at this moment.

^^ Am I the only one to notice Chieri and Nagisa's legs being a bit... stretched?

Also, Seeing the mechas makes me wonder if they'll stop re-using animations from the battles. The first time I saw the mecha v mecha action (episode 2) I was like O.O

Then it was re-used in the last chapter and I was like meh.

IT was still a great shot, fighter v fighter (with mechas) but re-using animations? big no on my part.

That's more or less correct. Guess we can look forward to that. They've also put up the broadcast times and networks on the site. Looks like AKB Sundays have now become AKB Saturdays.
