I knew that was going to turn out to be the Zedas transformation they showed one of the Zedas flying around with there body folded up like that in the 4th promo and I could just tell it had to be an alternate flight or high speed mode.

Looks like that white oval thing is how the AGE system works. I'm guessing the AGE system suggests a schematic for a new weapon and or armor, and the factory thing (I call it the AGE Factory) makes it. That's pretty nifty if ya ask me.

Do we know yet if there's going to be more than one Zedas? I know that we've been told that it leads the Gafrans in battle, but what if there's just the one machine? It would explain the role of the purple Gafrans, seeing how episode 1 showed it to be in a command role. The OP does lead us to believe that the Zedas will be Flit's rival in MS combat, but... erf.

The UE are just too different an enemy to really figure out how their combat system works.

Also - I'm assuming that the names Gafran, Baqto, and Zedas are just names so that we fans can identify them better. In the actual show, they're all simply referred to as UE, am I right?

As of episode 1. For a 14 year old war, I assume the Federation has a NATO reporting name-like for their adversaries, rather than referring to them as Teal, Green or Purple UEs. The Federation have yet to disassemble one for serial numbers too.

Or just simply selling gunplas with cool sounding names instead of name colors is so much better.

We're not even sure if that's the names the federation gives them, or that's how their names are. The UE is an intelligent being, that's for sure, and it's not strange to think they named their mobile suit type like that.

That Federation leader only referred to the Gafrans as a UE mobile suit-type, so yeah, I get the feeling that the Gafran, Zedas, and Baqto names are from the UE itself, and not assigned by the Federation.

Hmm....sounds interesting, an Age Gundam specific weapons/parts building factory? I hope that the 'building on spot' is an exceptional case though, I don't want to see "Oh shit!!! Age is in trouble. Build something now!!!" every episode

Its actually possible for the people in series to refer to them with a specific description while the actual names are given to us. I don't recall Garazzo from 00 ever had its name mentioned in the actual anime.

I won't be surprised if even the UE doesn't use those name because they could potentially (but far from surely, since they could be humans) have a very different type of language, hell maybe even non verbal. I won't be surprised if they just identification labels just for the fans, even if Gundam has a track record for handing out in-series facts (like actual in-series names and model numbers)

If its how you describe it, then its really awesome because I was afraid it was going to be like a transformation system. But an armor changing system on the ship, even if it involves that machine materializing it sounds quite neat.

Garazzo was mentioned launching after the Loiuse and Zirin locker room scene in 00, but yeah it certainly possible. Indeed, UE mobile suits don't even have model numbers in the official site or gunpla box.

It does look like as if the AGE System as a whole consists of the AGE Device that is the brain of the system, the AGE Builder that constructs the devices and weapons based on the AGE Device's program, and the Gundam AGE itself. It does appear as though the "evolution" the Gundam AGE will undergo will be on-the-fly parts construction based off whatever plans the AGE Device comes up with based on available combat data. Though how the Titus and the Sparrow will be integrated is yet to be revealed, though it's likely to be a part-swap affair from what we've seen.

Considering the incredible abilities that we can already do with modern-day 3D Printers, the abilities of the AGE Builder itself is actually a very nice evolution after hundred of years (?), material logistics aside. Though I hope the AGE Builder doesnt' turn into a Deus Ex Machina device.
