Episode 16
I follow the wide screen version of the show, which is why I'm not babbling alot in here. I disliked bumping old threads with my useless comments, but in this case I just had to.

I didn't see Nagisa's death coming at all. Even after seeing pictures of Ushio and knowing that Nagisa will eventually give birth, I didn't expect her to die. I still had hope til the end of the episode, but seeing the preview and this thread crushed me.

After 24 episodes in first season and 16 episodes in this season, it hurts not seeing her again. And since I'm attached to Tomoya, seeing him in pain will hurt me more.

To me, CLANNAD was supposed to be a happy series where you can overcome all hardships. Unfortunately, death is not included... I don't care about the other world. I don't care about other characters. I don't care about Akio antics. I just want my Tomoya be happy, and not regretting meeting Nagisa.

Do not deny it.
It was a gift.
All the time spent together with Nagisa was happy, despite painful, and worth every single seconds.

Tomoyo was never really part of the group, honestly. It makes sense that she wouldn't be that close to them after high school and, as such, wouldn't be invited to such a thing.

Although she didn't belong to the theater club because she was in the student council run, still she was pretty close. She isn't a side char like the others.

No, she's not a side character, but at the same time, her relationship with Nagisa and Tomoya was not really that of a close friend in the same way Kotomi, Ryou, Kyou, and Sunohara were.

I mean, the proof is in the pudding. Post-graduation, she's out of the picture entirely. They don't mention her during this party as a kind of, "oh, she wanted to be here but couldn't" thing, either. Sure, they all kind of vanish for a while after this episode, but that's your defense. She wasn't really part of that circle of friends, as further evidenced later on when Kyou mentions that she, Ryou, and Sunohara were worried about Tomoya and were thinking of visiting (Kotomi, of course, being in America). Tomoyo is forgotten, never being a full part of the group and off living her own life separate from the story at hand.

Amusingly, in the game's After Story, she's mentioned a fair bit more often... Odd, considering how they shoved characters into the plot that weren't there in the game.

Three of the saddest scenes in all of Clannad After (in my own opinion) I put Nagisa's final scene at the top. Too much for me to handle.

Mostly cos TWO PEOPLE DIED IN THEM.

These really is a sad thing to watch , i just finished watching ep 16 , iv got no words to say , no words cant explain these sadness ... i hope , as im geting closer to the ending , it wont be something so dramatic.

Likewise, I was heartbroken after watching this episode but life goes on whether we like it or not.

I just saw this episode again... Ouch.

I remember the first time I saw it I couldn't bring myself to continue watching the series for a few days.

I couldn't. I had to watch the next episode because I was in denial

That is, until I saw Tomoya alone and the color had disappeared from his life again.
