Ha, I love this firsts episode. It's chill, cute and funny in the beginning and pulls a 180 and goes straight into bestiality, birds and the bees (bear ver 1.0) and naughty jokes. This was a blast to watch and it's so on my watch list.

it seems most people ignored the fact most mythical legends & fairy tails that were told to little children from all over the world are R-rated based material, not sure to blame Disney movies over that,

heck at my place there are stories that involve a lot of gruesome decapitation & some dude banging a female dragon.

Cute show overall so far, I kinda like it especially with the bear's role in the show so far. The OP song is also adorable too.

Episode 1
This was amusing. Machi is cute. She was bored of the village and wanted to go to the city. Lol that quiz.

That story was quite something lol. The virgin sacrifice to the bear had sex with the bear and had bear-human children. I did not expect this kind of eroness here.

This was a nice episode. It started off a bit boring, until Machi revealed that she wanted to go to the city. Things got funny from there.

A comfy show, but I feel the joke dragged a bit to me.

They can't help themselves and go that way in the first episode, aren't they? What a way to give first impression.

I see it happen all the time and know plenty of people who do so as well. Some even go as far as learning insults and curses of other languages just so they can shout them when something bad happens or when they're in a bad mood. It's hilarious, really.

Way to mess with the kids of your village I suppose. Have them scared by bears and then basically reading bestiality porn to them.

Was ok I suppose.

I'm surprised how funny that was. And Kaori has entered herself into the long list of pervy fakers who try to hide their fascination, covering their eyes and/or ears while secretly looking/listening. Also, if that's what that guy calls a "tame" story, I seriously don't want to know what he considers "hardcore". But you really got to feel bad for Machi, having to come out time after time to present herself as priestess and representative of a porn tale.

Anyway, one of my favorite spots was with the two boys on the last image, standing together with faces filled with gloom and hands between their legs.

Yeah, the myth is really a combination of Leda and the Swan with the famous ukiyo-e print of the fisherman's wife's dream.

That was funnier than I thought it'd be. I never expected this show to bring up sex (with bears!) and to make jokes about it. Really caught me off guard. The loli's reaction throughout the whole sequence was really funny.

Oh, and best ED of the season.

I've seen this particular gag in one or two other animes before, and it makes me laugh everytime. But now I wonder if this is a reference to something? Are these like the first two english phrases Japanese girls learn in school?!

Similar to Guardian Enzo the first half was a bit slow for me, but then that second half. I don't know what I was expecting, but I certainly wasn't expecting that.

That's the same thing I was thinking. The girls in that village must be getting a pretty good(strange) education, if they know those words in English at that young age

Wasn't expecting that second half. The Bear sex jokes caught me off guard. It's still a cute show though.

Got to keep in mind a lot of ancient fairy tales were originally pretty raunchy and/or brutal. A lot people are surprised by the second half it seems when I checked around but this wasn't to unusual for a ancient tale

I almost skipped this one, I thought it was another one of those "Miko has a guardian spirit/animal" series like Kamisama Hajimemashita and that talking fox anime from seasons ago. It was at least interesting enough for me to want to watch another episode.
