If Azusa is 4' 10" (147 cm) then Sumire is 5' 7" (170 cm)
if Azusa is 4' 11" (150 cm) then Sumire is 5' 8" ( 173 cm)

From this I say Sumire is taller than Sachi.

Sumire's hieght (along with her blonde hair and blue eyes) might be way the Light Music Club though she was a foreigner when they first meet her. Mugi doesn't get that assumption at all (it seems) despite the blonde hair. She's not taller than Mio after all. That and she talks to them before they even see her, while Azusa's group caught Sumire first.

Universities don't have uniforms...it's just the band costume, just like the current HTT.

LOL at Mio's initial reaction upon seeing the senpais practice. Just like Nodoka...except no one's forcing Yoshii to do this and she's actually enjoying it.

I think that Yoshii is a cross of Sawa-chan and Ritsu's personality - acting 'old', costume fetish, killer stare, club president, and not above blackmail.

This get's me wondering how old Yoshii actually is. By the way she was acting, it seems that she's around 25.

Hmm.. nice to see that the focus is on the university club. Now we got the name of the president and also her friend.... Kana and Chiyo.
And really, the topic has gotten a bit serious lately, sometimes it doesn't feel like a 4-koma manga at all

So, Kana and her band is some kind of the university's Sawako and Death Devil? both of them tried to hide their identity and also has quite the same "death glare" (not to mention their fascination with youth~)
Somehow I feel that HTT will be motivated by them to go pro too

Maybe Akira is imitating Chiyo-senpai's haircut? both of them looked boyish after all.

PS: nice cover FTW no wonder about the D-cup rumors, just look at the pic.

So now we have a third College level band introduced (out of something like ten bands mentioned to be in the Light Music Club). And Gang of Girls and Afterschool Tea Time are not much of rivals as Akira would imagine. At least not yet.

Makes one wonder when they will have a concert.

The secret is out I see. I knew the secret has to have something to do with Yoshii, she seems to be the type that keeps tons of secrets, wasn't expecting the uniform though. So Mugi starts passing out snacks to Akira's band, wouldn't they become... well...demotivated? Things can get worse if she starts bringing her cakes and brewing teas again. You know how Mugi is rather cunning right? One thing I notice is that Sumire's tea brewing skill hasn't match her ojousama yet as her bandmates should have become demotivated as of now. Maybe they will latter but highly doubt it.

Well Ui seems to have taken over part of Mugi's tasks with at least the cake and snacks department.


EDIT: You know what the worst thing about this chapter is? Waiting to hear it. It is going to be a while before we get to hear, not only the new character's voices, but also what this "pro-band" sounds like. Add to this the kinds of things people expect out of Kyoto Animation in regards to K-On...and you get the worst thing about this chapter. The waiting.

I suspect that president Kana is actually a zombie or a vampire, and Chiyo is her loyal servant. As her servant, Chiyo is sent out to do biddings such as finding targets for her mistress so that she can um… I don’t know, sucking out their youth? Guess I have to keep an eye on her for now just in case she gives out more supernatural vibes latter on. In short, Kana is a paranormal being that sucks youth out of her victims which is awesome by the way lol.

If that is the case, her primary target should be Azusa...but Yui hasn't let that slip out yet. That or Yui's airheadedness gives perpetual youth, despite trying to pass off as an old lady to cover up her inexperiance in guitar playing to Azusa once.

Yui needs to keep Azusa to herself. If Azusa is targeted then that could be a big problem since Azusa seems to be Yui’s primary source of energy as well. If you read the manga chapters prior to the split, notice that Yui refers to Azusa as her ‘energy charger’ almost every time she hugs her.

EDIT: There is an alternative way of interpreting the president's behavior using Mugivision.

After the freshmen leave the club buiding, Yui's face looks like she just gone through some wild lesbian actions.

Huh? Would that not mess up the pacing of the manga? Hmm, sounds interesting if that actually happens. Getting blindsided from one of the two concurrent storylines may create unexpected twists. Ok, maybe not.
It maybe winter now, but summer awaits for those who follows K-on manga if I’m not mistaken after the short rainy period is over. Joint summer training camp and risk of exposing Sumire's true identity comes in mind. So yes, getting blindsided from Azusa side of things would create comedic suspense.

I've bought the Chinese Taiwan version of it. Book 1 - 4. But I saw on those online manga sites... There's Book 5 and 6?! What's going on? Because on the book 4 it stated -END- o_O
