what i m afraid of is the resolution of the cliffhanger at the end of this eps. i can only see lelouch geassing rollo to get a nice dog to obey his order, or worst rollo confessing his love for his "bro" and forsaking his military obligation... wich would be pretty gay.
i hope sunrise finds a decent resolution cause the only thing i can see is either the story scraps any school devellopement with the army now knowing lelouch has awaken, that is if a)lelouch escapes b) lelouch kills rollo right now (not likely to happen this early in the season but i really hope he does). so all that is left is a defection on rollo's side or rollo getting geassed. if this happens it would just make karen fall from it s ace pilot spot and make her just the fanservice character with no other purpose. time will tell but i hope my speculations are wrong cause it s not something i d like to see happening.
on the other hand i d really like to how the china's embassi issue will get dealt with

White Shinigami? Did I get that right? Suzaku and Lancelot seem to have became quite infamous among Britannia's enemies in one year. He's quite to the point with his speeches. And as usual he doesn't waste any time and dispatches his justice ruthlessly. Same old Suzaku but with a cold looknow and no sizzling passion.

And is it me or does Rollo seem to have more of a freeze beam that shoots out of his eye in a sphere around him and only affects people rather than a time stop.

So... Kallen is pissed because C.C. kept the whole "magic show" secret from "us", but C.C. corrects her saying "you mean from "me""? Is that about right? I expected to see Kallen and C.C. interact this episode, and I was not disappointed even though I have no clue as to what is being said heh.

We have three Geass users now at least, and that's fine, but the number of people who know about Geass keeps growing too - even if Viletta is qualified for the job since she's already immune to Lelouch.

Li was quite ambivalent towards Kallen, which makes his actions at the end all the more strange. Either he's up to some complicated plan that does not actually include the wipe-out of OotBK (Li is supposed to be as smart as Lelouch, so we should be seeing his ingenuity some time soon), or something really happened in the interim. I don't think it's him finding out about the Geass though. I mean, where could he?

The scene with Kallen barging in on C.C.'s meeting was hilarious. It makes me think that Kallen and C.C. are on more familiar terms these days; C.C. is willing to tease her a bit (actually, it reminds me of how Lulu treated Kallen in S1 ... "mieru zo" and all that). They've certainly had time to talk during Lulu's "captivity." The eunuch's reaction was priceless ("Zero is a woman?!" C.C.: "Sou da." Kallen: "Chigaimasu!"), and I also loved how Li was totally calm it almost makes me want to ship LixKallen

On the serious side of things, all of the Rollo scenes in this ep. were pretty interesting. Even though the doubled voice at the end of ep. 2 makes me think there's something up with Rollo's personality divide, it's clear now that Rollo knew Lulu was the "old" Zero all along, and his mission was to watch Lulu, keeping him from awakening as Zero, and, in the case that he has awakened, deal with him. It seems that Rollo genuinely cares for Lulu though, which really makes me wonder how he first met Lulu. The locket obviously has some importance, but who knows what at this point. As others have commented, Rollo probably has a tragic past; I'm anxious to know his history.

Also, it looks like another character from the opening has shown up in the show itself (unless I missed a previous appearance:

huh, so Lelouch actually remembered he geassed Villetta, guess he isn't that stupid after all. >_> Wonder how long it'll take him to figure out she was living with Ougi. Villetta almost looked sorry about Ougi being executed.

And looks like Lee has a nice mode too. very Lelouch.

Rollo, however, is completely out of his goddamn mind. And definitely has a severe inferiority complex when it comes to Nunnally. Very interested to see how Lelouch manages to get someone as trigger happy as Rollo to not kill him. >_>

a bit out of topic but i curious to know where did the li x karen came from? so far that would feel totally out of the blue are people just throwing wild guess or have access to inside info? this is the kind of pairing that would make me feel " ok well sunrise created a relation so that all the character get a partner at the end " if it s sunrise's plan as some shippers hope i wish sunrise writtes it well i dont want to see a new ashrun x meyrin + shinn x lunamaria that came out of nowhere just cause sunrise decide it would be fun.

Kallen: How do you know?
Li: I'm interested in (all of) you. (NOTE: he said "omaetachi", that's "you" in plural.)

Some people miss the last part of this line to make it look like Li is interested in Kallen personally.

I wonder if sub group will bother to tell the difference.

Not to say I am/will be a Li x Kallen shipper, but I was amused by their (very short) interaction this episode:

Li: I have interest in you (all).

What can I say? Even little things like this amuse me

I don't know... that whole sequence with the flashback to Narita, after Shirley mentions the railcar, seems to make Lelouch's subsequent words feel completely out of guilt. The way he dodges her questions, too, by mentioning the others following them, seems to make it feel like he's just trying to make it up to her, nothing more. Anyway, a quick summary:

1. Lelouch tricks Rollo by having C.C. perform and calls him, using Villeta to further confuse Rollo.
2. Kallen thinks Zero is Lelouch, but C.C. reveals herself. The two have a talk and it looks like C.C. and Kallen on much friendlier terms, though Kallen looks a little jealous.
3. Lelouch the house-wife... Milly the evil slave driver.
4. Lelouch wonders about Nunally, his face shows the worry but he keeps it hidden.
5. Viletta and her crew? discuss Zero, Lelouch, and C.C..
6. EU gets owned by the White Shinigami, Suzaku and the Lancelot.
7. Rollo freaks when Lelouch asks to see the locket. By freak I mean freak. He's got some inferiority complex, but seems to truly love Lelouch as a brother.
8. Rollo lets of some steam by killing some dude.
9. Kallen thinks about Lelouch in the shower of all places.
10. Embarassing/Hilarious/Odd moment with a Unech and nude lady. Li puts on his nice guy face. Too bad he's already got an empress. C.C. teases Kallen, as I said before, they seem to be on much friendlier terms, if not good friends now.
11. Guilford announces the execution of the capture OOBK.
12. Lelouch asks out Shirley to help him buy a present for Viletta's birthday.
13. We get a flashback to C.C. giving Lelouch the geass-contacts.
14. Shirley spazes, thinking whether or not this is date.
15. Lelouch more or less plans how to frame everything to make himself appear innocent and capture Rollo.
16. Geass some random dude.
17. Viletta and crew, student council, follow around Lelouch and Shirley.
18. Surprised Shirley is Surprised. Narita conversation. Lelouch's guilt trip.
19. All hell breaks lose and Lelouch corners Rollo, only to have his gun turned on himself.
20. Li owns the OOBK.
21. Preview! Woo!

That was very good. I was wondering how and why the original preview showed normal school life.

They had just the right mix of plot advancement and storytelling "leaps" (or holes if you prefer) to make you desire the next episode.

okay Urabe stabbed himself, which triggered the explosion.. right before the big bang went off most likely milli seconds before it exploded Rollo activated his geass.. what is there not to get in that part?
