Well if they went with the keeping Rollo in the dark route they could do another Suzaku like R1, given how things were made on purpose to be similar to R1 I thought that's what they were going to do.

A couple of thoughts...

Spoiler:

1. The gun Lelouch had was probably empty. Might cause some epic lulz for Rollo later, and probably give Lelouch some points for proving to Rollo he had no intention of killing him.

2. Xinghe coming to kill the Black Knights might have been staged by Lelouch; he probably figured that their reputation would be bad if it continued, and opted for something that allowed them to attack and let the world know.

They're already doing another Suzaku like in R1. It's just that this time, Lelouch is going to do things right. This ally isn't slipping through Lelouch's hands simply because he's not well in the head.

Lelouch is not qualified to make that judgment call anyway. He comments on what he's experiencing but he is caught up in it. IIRC in the first episode he called it teleportation.

@ashlay: the "already falling water" sounds interesting, but it's not only the falling water.. something is causing the ripples in the water in the tank around the platform also. I suppose you could apply the same argument there, but I'm more convinced that it's a mind stop. In that case, Vincent is hax and can dodge point-blank sakuradite explosions, and Rollo used his Geass to get some room between himself and his targets to assess the damage to his Knightmare after getting caught up in the explosion.

Come to think of it, once Rollo joins Lelouch (I am still convinced that this will happen), we will get to know more about his Geass anyway

I have to say seeing Kallen jealous about Zero and C.C.'s close relationship is always entertaining. We see her thinking about Lelouch being Zero and holding Lelouch's jacket tenderly which I'm going to take to mean she must be well confused about her feelings now.

The sound episode with Tamaki and Kallen going out for supplies and C.C. sneaking along to persuade them to get pizza is well funny and classic with Kallen, time and time again, losing concentration and control of the vehicle because Tamaki's drilling C.C. for tidbits on her obvious (to him atleast) love relation to Zero, while C.C. denies it but starts on Kallen's own obvious feelings for Zero. With Tamaki being kicked out the car and left behind and in the end ofcourse C.C.'s verbal bullseyes the car gets trashed, I fell over laughing and couldn't get back up.

The closing background tune was perfect as well, I'm really looking forward to see more C.C. teasing Kallen with the cool tune as well hopefully.

You have to admit he's pretty damn good at it.

So, I have to say that this episode looked pretty good from the raw. Interesting speculation, though. Rollo's Geass stopped time with that red orb. Does that mean he only has Fuzetsu power, and not the ability to stop time for the entire world?

I think it is pretty illogical, sure that exchanging between you and others are cool, but shouldn't do be used for something like going back to school, he could do something else that's more productive....>.<

He explains that if he were to disappear from school while people are watching him, it might put Nunnally in danger. Which is why he tries to wipe the lot of them out and get Rollo to be his key to finding Nunnally.

Of course, things didn't quite work out like he had planned, but now that Rollo's going to be covering for Lelouch a little bit (err...will be soon after an assassination attempt), at least he's got some freedom again.

And so it was explained for those who questioned why Lelouch would give a locket to a boy. Does that mean Lelouch see Rollo as a girl? Not quite and he knows he is a brother but he gave him a locket anyway.
