i especially like the harmonics part. why don't you do the full version of the song? it's not much different from the tv version anyways.

oh yeah, choose the Mustang dude. so cool looking, and you don't see that as often as the telecaster these days. at least, from what i see. plus, it kinda reminds me of something, or someone. (i think you know who she is).

@trenton_dawn: dude, one word: yaaaaayyyy!!!
many thanks to the tab man!!!

well, dec 3 is very near. if all comes to plan, i could share my surprise to this page. hehehehe.... (but i have to fix my strings first)

Yeah, I'm going for the mustang. Felt really really good to play, and it's certainly a lot lighter than my Les Paul.

Also anyone got tabs for Unmei wa Endless? I wanna get learning it in advance so I can do the whole thing when the movie comes out.
Video of someone playing it that might help with tabbing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2K-uO...eature=related

I chose to do the short one because I didn't feel like playing the same 3 riffs for 4 minutes :P

I can give Unmei wa Endless a shot. Pretty sure the bass/drums will turn out wrong since they sound pretty complex but the guitar should be doable, especially with that video.

I have a quick question guys, in the song Oh My Giita!! how do you approach the Chromatic Run? in other words how do you do that part? I know what a Chromatic scale is, but how do you do a Chromatic Run?

Slide your hand up/down the neck while picking rapidly. The basic goal is to get a chromatic-scale type sound but it's not required to be as precise.

sorry about this, but what fret should I start the chromatic runs for both measures 89, and 152? also should I use all four fingers too hold down on strings ADGB or just barre it with me first finger adding the high E?

I just hold my A string and slide up from 3 to where ever while picking really fast. It doesn't really matter where you do it. Just work out where it sounds best and stick with it.

Also what do ya'll lot think of my No Thank You cover? :P

It depends on the scale, you just have to kind of listen to it and see what sounds right. For the pre-chorus ones, it sounds like low on a mid string, like A or D, maybe both. For the bridge exit one, it sounds like around fret 12-15 on the low E, heading down.

Good job! Your main riff is pretty unsteady, but the rest is good.

I think I've got the guitar part close to being accurate, need to add in the drums and other stuff if I can hear them.

You're getting better :P That was a pretty damn good cover. Just turn the song down a tad so we can clearly hear you. I just keep the backing track on quietly in the background so you can hear the drums and vocals.

Also, when I get my new guitar (The Fender Pawn Shop Mustang ) I'll be doing some K-on! Covers. Most likely gonna be the new movie opening, Kira Kira Days and a remake of Azusa's Character song from volume 1 (Watashi was Watashi something or other) for obvious reasons ;D

Hey, what software do you guys use to record yourself? In the past, I've used Audacity for audio recordings but never done video before.

Reaper works pretty well for audio. I used to use Audacity a ton for my recordings but then switched to Reaper. It's a little weird to get used to but runs muuuuch smoother, effectively, and more reliably than Audacity.

Oh yea I should note, although they want you to pay for the download, you can select "trial download" and when it asks you to pay just say, "Still evaluating" lol

I use Sony Vegas. I put the song on the timeline then record my guitar (Plugged in via line in) over the top of it and adjust the volume levels accordingly.

Pro-Tools for recording audio, Sony Handycam HDR-CX160 for recording video, and Sony Vegas/Adobe After effects for synchronizing everything together.

I'm using REAPER + Guitar Rig (guitar directly connected to line-in) for recording then for mixing the tracks I'm using Audacity...yes I don't use amps or anything since mine sucks.

It's been a while since my last post but I'm visiting this thread daily XD

@LightMusicBand
You're getting better and better (y)
