Games that most intrigue me this weekend:
Miami at Indy - Two rookie QBs doing well. Indy offense punching above their weight. Resilient Miami defense. Anything could happen. Minnesota at Seattle - Must-win for both. Seattle are very strong at home. Battle of tactics. Pittsburgh at New York Giants - Big Ben is still doing it and Pittsburgh's pass defense is good this season. But New York's has become rather formidable INT-wise in the last month and Eli still believes. Might show where Pittsburgh really is at. Philadelphia at New Orleans - Last roll of the dice for both. But in the case of Philly, heads will roll if they can't beat the worst defense in the league.

Now, the rest of Week 9: DEN @ CIN: Cincinnati (Entirely selfish pick on my part) BAL @ CLE: Baltimore (This one might be closer that the records imply) ARI @ GB: Tossup (Skelton can be unpredictable, and The Packers are already dealing with a number of injuries) CHI @ TEN: Chicago (Matchup looks a "trappy" to me) MIA @ IND: Indianapolis (Two rookie QB's, both with winning records) CAR @ WSH: Washington (SuperQuarterback just has that determination) DET @ JAX: Jacksonville (Because The Jags are showing some real improvement) BUF @ HOU: Houston (Another big win for The Moo) MIN @ SEA: Tossup (This defense oriented game has the potential to go absolutely nowhere) TB @ Oakland: Oakland (Not with the same confidence of last week, because Tampa's better against the run and has a decent offense, but those gaping holes in the secondary will just end up being too tempting for Palmer) PIT @ NYG: Pittsburgh (That was a hard one to figure out) DAL @ ATL: Atlanta (And the ASB's save the day once again) PHI @ NO: Tossup (So we reach the first installment of the "FLAMING WRECK CUP!!!", with semi-suckitude on the line!) |

KC @ SD: The battle of who could care less - and it went as predicted.
DEN @ CIN: Denver. Peyton is in sync with the team. Decker, Thomas and Stokeley make for a great arsenal. Cincy can't outscore them. BAL @ CLE: Baltimore. Flacco will flounder and Rice will save them. ARI @ GB: Green Bay. Arizona will turn it over too much. CHI @ TEN: Chicago. Cutler relished not getting hit so much - maybe. MIA @ IND: Miami. I think their D will prevail. CAR @ WSH: Washington. Their offense is better at present. DET @ JAX: Detroit. They're still in contention for playoffs - they will care enough despite Megatron being sub-par. BUF @ HOU: Houston. Likely massacre. MIN @ SEA: Seattle. Only for Wilson being in better form than Ponder. TB @ Oakland: Tampa Bay. Their offense is pretty delish at present and I doubt Oakland would get 30 points, as I see Tampa getting that many. PIT @ NYG: NY Giants. Sentiment will run high and Eli will probably do another 'I Believe' drive to clinch it. DAL @ ATL: Atlanta. Can only see New York beating them - Atlanta's draw is a joke... PHI @ NO: Philly. If they can't beat Who Dat sans Sproles, then Vick and Reid are cactus.

Wanna know how bad the University of Maryland's QB situation is? The first 4 QBs on the depth chart all had season ending injuries and now they are currently resorting to a scout team freshman LB to run the offense and a freshman TE to back him. Both has some non-starter high school QB experience.
What is worse, this or the Washington St QB situation a couple of years ago when they got so depleted at QB that the team held open tryouts for willing students on campus? |

The Titans might cop the biggest culling of all. Bud Adams has put everyone on notice...but considering the amount of fumbles and super leaky defense and the fact when they lose it's never been below 21 this season...Bears were merciless. Tillman is pro at forcing fumbles. Hopefully they can stay healthy and have a good run this year.
Wonderful performance by Tampa Bay. Doug Martin - just wow. He's probably the steal of the draft at this rate. Palmer did play hard but when you throw it that much, picks are inevitable. Guess Luck is justifying being picked above RG3 and then some. Accuracy and last second movements in the pocket are darn good for a rookie. Intriguing win by Seattle. Wilson stayed accurate and Ponder...yikes...60-odd yards for a game is...harsh...that field goal that was after the play clock ran out was bogus though. Why isn't that reviewable? If Seattle can snatch a couple of road wins, they just might reach the playoffs, because beating them at home is getting harder to do. Well, Dallas avoided INTs...but still not enough. They need Murray - that really is a major piece of the puzzle missing. Didn't help they missed tackles at critical points of the game by going for the legs and missing.

Not really...they have an easy draw. All the experts said in the pre-season that Atlanta's draw was easy and that they'd have one of the best records in the regular season. They've faced only one team that's above .500 and that's Denver. Rest of their wins were Washington, Carolina, Oakland, Kansas City, San Diego, Philadelphia, Dallas. Admittedly Matt Ryan had become more reliable. But...have they really played anyone threatening yet, besides Denver?

Yea. Falcons have had a cupcake schedule, and that's not really their fault. They have their games lined up, like any other team and play them.
Having said that. I can say the same thing about DA BEARS sitting at 7-1. But, there's a very very tough stretch coming up.
