I do shave bi-daily. My sideburns and mustache are really ugly. They don't grow long enough to look like anything proper and look like uneven stains, so I have to get rid of it. I keep my beard cause it's this funny thing that's only at the tip of my chin. I keep it because I've still got some of that 'I wanna look different' ideology leftover inside me :P

Too scared to have long hair or gel/dye as I work with old-school cranky engineers all day.

I used to have long hair that went to my lower lip to gel around with. I can't do that now. Working in engineering, I don't want my coworkers thinking I'm some queer emo (even though I'm not offended if someone does say I am =P) by my appearance. I care quite a bit about my professional reputation. My career heavily relies on relations.

yes i gained weight and looked skinnier.

I don't work out anymore, and I also don't have much time for outdoor activities as I used to. It's probably just losing muscle mass. I removed body fat from my DNA for more hard drive space. So losing/gaining weight is rarely something I think about. I've kind of given up =P
