Since I've seen all three movies (I'm sad I won't get a chance to see the forth in the theaters)

I'd say it would go like this

3 >>>>> 1 > 2

But going by the novel

3 > 7 (Lio is fuckin' awesome) >> 5 > 2 > 4 > 6 > 1

I do agree that the anime did so much better than the novel for ch.1

That she is. We all knew what was going to happen to the strawberry ice cream. She needs a hug~

I like Kokuto's resemblance to Tohno Shiki. It's like double the Shiki.

As for the rest, I'm familiar with FSN/Tsukihime and I've accumulated various sipets of info about KnK over time, but just from the perspective of the first movie, it was... not quite satisfactory. Shiki's eyes, background on the characters, what they know, and so forth, not explained. Now, I really shouldn't fault the movie for this too much; I'm aware that the original story was in anachronic order or whatever, and that figuring things out after the fact is part of the point... It's just that without the next 6 movies on hand, I'm left hanging... =/ Asking for very much detail at this point is a waste of time, since it's being left for later, so all I can get is spoilered. And I'm sure many of us already know the story anyway.

Now, about that artificial arm... First I thought "wtf mind trip, that ghost is messing with Shiki's mind, giving her a bad acid trip dream sequence, turning her arm into a doll's..." Then I thought "Woah, and she escaped the dream by cutting her arm off. Told you she was hardcore." But then it turns out it was artificial. They have that kind of technology in this time period? Or is she using some kind of magic, too, just out of sight?

The actual fighting was rather brief, but Shiki doing that rooftop-hopping/sliding-across-the-roof trick was pretty wicked.

Still good.

I think we will only be comfortable with ufotable handling Type-Moon adaptions now.

Touko's puppets/dolls are practically identical to the human body. Touko cannot use magic. But I'm not clear on the details of how she crafts puppets/dolls.

Weird and beautiful anime. I was curious why so many people dling this anime. I watch the gg version without any knownledge of the story. Anyway, shiki is pretty cute at the end..

I have to say. With the price that these DVDs command, they are treating this as art more than anything else.

I actually downloaded this at random without really looking into what it was about...First tip-off was Neko-Arc at the start though. Then all throughout the thing I kept thinking..."This really reminds me vaguely of Tsukihime" and well...Lo and behold I go to look it up after I finish watching to find out I am in-fact not crazy...

Ah well putting all that aside it was a very lovely ,albeit confusing movie that had some terrific atmosphere...I honestly had thought it was going to end there until the previews popped up and I was pleasantly surprised.

I have to say watching this has renewed abit of interest in me to go back and finally buy Tsukihime and play through it...God knows I've had enough people tell me to after I said I enjoyed the anime series, but that it felt lacking alot overall...

Yes, Fujino is the moest character Nasu has made. Her relationship/feelings to/for her Mikiya-sempai are adorable.

When Shiki was eating the strawberry ice cream, was I the only one who was thinking about how cold her thighs must have been? Brrrrrrr! It's really chilly holding ice cream between naked thighs. That girl has some serious cold resistance.

Well maybe
Spoiler:

Any idea what's the song that starts at 1:22? It sounds like a remixed version of Oblivious, but it doesn't sound like Re/Oblivious, nor does it sound like anything I've heard on the OST?

Sorry but all my attention was focused on Maaya Sakamoto eating ice cream.

Weird anime. The dark theme and music quickly captivate my interest, and the fights were beautifully drawn. But I have to admit at the end I nearly fell asleep.....Too many philosophycal conversation..

I'm sorry, did you say something?

Moving on... So, is the doll-making (and why she's keeping such awesome artificial limb tech to herself) going to be explained, or is it just something that's there and we're just supposed to roll with it? Now that I think of it, FSN's Heaven's Feel route had something about artificial bodies... wonder if there's a missing connection with that...

Too many details/characters I may be forgetting... >_>
