The Freedom Gundam in this anime even has a destiny finger and it used in a exact some pose like Destiny Gundam. They can't reused old footage so they just blatantly copied it now? 0_O

All the female characters looks fine...but she appeared.

And this girls seems to be one of those "good" princess.

I don't think she's actually a Princess.

People were calling this the new VVV, but the plot and protagonist setup is far closer to Code Geass than VVV. Ange's situation is in many ways similar to Lelouch's. Former royalty stripped of their title, mother sacrificing herself to save them, younger sister in wheelchair, extreme racism. Though we have yet to see whether Ange will take up the revenge angle.

I really wish they went the more serious route for this anime. The story and character setup is something I really want to see more of, but the over the top and unnecessary fan-service and the almost comical portrayal of certain sensitive scenes make it hard for me to believe the story will be handled well.

Seriously, I hereby nominate this as 2014's Valvrave (in terms of insanity and the like). Can't wait to bear witness to the growing madness that only Sunrise can deliver. XD

Course, it also had Code Geass elements as you mentioned.

Alright, finally got to see what the fuss was about.

People have already pointed out the similarities to Gundam openings. Even with the title card (Gundam Wing) and they even show an all gold hyper mode like in G-Gundam.

Ange, oh Ange. I was expecting more of a bitchy character. She's not as bad as I was expecting. She comes off as somewhat of a mix between a misguided well-intentioned extremist and innocently insensitive. This helps with the show's representation of the racism against Norma. Nice imagery with the mana shield shattering around Ange symbolizing her life as she knew it shattering around her.

Can Julio do that? Anyone who knows about usurping and all that answer that for me please.

I liked the scenes with Ange and her mother. Nana and Megumi have good chemistry. I wish we would get more than that little duet.

Jill made quite the first impression and I'm sure Ange will never forget it.

Wasn't as bad as the preview made it out to be. Fan-service throughout the episode for that matter either. I will admit I did get a bit of whiplash from cutting to that scene to that camera pan of Rosalie and some of the other girls who look like they just got through having some fun.

The commentary for next week's episode got a laugh out of me. They're having fun with this.

It's like the writers are out to shit on any potential this show might have. I don't really get it but whatever. I'll give it two more episodes and see what happens.

The blood was turn out to be symbolic, it was located on the collar region. So it wasn't Ange's blood, but her mother's.

I have the feeling the abuse will escalate, though, if EP2 PV is any indication.
