I had a thought on that. I think the white shirted "ordinary" cells represent what the human looks like.

So medication were the robots...those are in black too.

If that is an allergy, i can't not imagine neither chikungunya or Zika...

So did WB3 1331 and RBC 3803 knew each other as children?

That's why you should adhere to prescribed dosages. Lest your system gets destroyed by ED-209s.

Not going to lie, I think the Cedar Pollens were creepy. The way they mindlessly say "cedar" and stalking their prey with their size....

I'm also glad the show is showcasing even more cells in the human body like the Mast Cell. Definitely an interesting episode if you ask me. I'm not familiar with pollen allergy but they made the episode feel so impactful.

Lol, AE 3803 look so priceless whenever she is caught off guard.

Interesting how it seems to represent the hyperactive response first as a chuuni horror followed by overeager response. Author sure doesn't seem to like meds though.

I don't see why he doesn't like meds. He is just representing the truth.

Medication is taking a sledgehammer to a crooked nail.

This show has something to it which draws me every week. I really like it. The rest of this season's lineup has faded for me, and I can't remember the last time I was only following one show in a season. Cells at work is very entertaining!

so medicine are portrayed as (killer) robots, so i guess it has something to do with being artificial and man-made.

Actually I don't think they were going for "artificial" necessarily (maybe a bit), but rather more specifically, they went with something that does not fit in with the rest of the world, but alien monsters are already reserved for hostile invaders.

Killer robots seems like a good choice for an outside force that basically does whatever the hell it wants without the body having any say in it.

Drugs and medicines doesnẗ fit into body because they are artificial and man-made. I think that's point here. Plus it not like any medication is harmful as steroids. Penicilin from Black for example hurt only invaders and does no damage to residents or enviroment , while being equally mechanical looking.

If Steroids are Robots then Antibiotics would been like Special Forces Gear with heavy Weapons to blast any Gram Negative and Gram Positive Bacteria depends on the brand like Penicillin and Vancomycin unless the MRSA been a hard to kill enemy to them.
