I hope Shizuka & the rest of JFWs will take the part..
Judging from the PV, does Mio is getting stuffed..? (Pacific Rim Uprising kicks in) Hikari x Yoshika x Nao would be interesting..

Well, this is a surprise!
Now, I could complain about going back to the 501st, but let's be fair, there was already an attempt for something, and, well, it wasn't great. Besides, if you saw the other SW announcements, there's definetly a new (for the franchise, not the industry) direction being attempted later. The wait is definetly a pain, but at least we'll have a lot of stuff to enjoy in the meantime, so let's be patient. Lastly, whatever this season will do, it needs Trude. Lots of Trude. I want my favorite siscon back~ |

And one of my wishes is about to be fulfilled..(Witches being deployed from a bomber, although I'd expecting the B-29 & He 177 instead)
I wonder if 502nd would be a cavalry when 501st is surrounded by the drone Neurois..? #Georgette&LynneBestWaifus.

I'm still a bit confused why they made Sanya dandere while the most of other girls were quite similar in character to their prototypes.
Real Lidiya Litvak was quite eccentric, more similar to Hartmann.

I really like the more serious tone they're going for in the trailer, basically trying to show us that shit just got real.
Then suddenly all of the zoom-in pantyshots come up to our faces and I think "yes, definitely Strike Witches".

@ Nachtwandler
You may have answered your own question: two of the same character type might have been too much, and no one else had the quiet, soft spoken girl thing going, so that's what Sanya got. Probably for the best: Can't imagine Eila going full dork for someone like Erica. |

The B-17 Flying Fortress played a much more substantial role in Europe than the B-29 Super Fortress, which primarily was used in the Pacific Theatre. A handful of B-29s were loaned to the RAAF, so my bet is that for the story, the B-29s might be kept as a bit of an ace-in-the-hole owing to their rarity. Further, you'll have no quarrel with me about Georgette and Lynnette

Guess I personally prefer the wacky disfunctional family vibe of the 501st. |

That's why I rather have BW S2 over RtB, unless Projekt World Witches has already have a plan for that..(so the 502nd can be fleshed more) BTW, at least Georgette's appetite & cleaning habit & Nipa's misfortunes didn't get flanderized..(I'm looking at you, YohaZura)

That would certainly be welcome, as long as it doesn't feel like "hey, here's stuff we could've shown before but didn't because reasons". Ok, that sounds silly, but imagine if instead of like Marseille showing up, sweet duet or a crackship episode, we had to wait until S2 just to find out Trude is a dorky siscon. That's the kind of feel I'd want to avoid; do something that feels out of the ordinary (for an out of the franchise example, the Kaoru and Sayaka episode in toji no miko). I am indeed glad Nipa's misfortune was included since I knew about it beforehand, and it was done well (Nipa was one of the best parts of the series, even fulfilling the unexpected condition by becoming Hikari's Lynne), even if it still felt like something was lacking in the series overall. Also, as someone who loves ChikaRiko, I know that feel well. |
