Is it? I see people hinting strongly about novels here, but as an anime only viewer, I can't tell that at all. I do know that when they eventually get to that part of Araragi and Shinobu's past, it'll be big and help the rest of the series "click", but right now I don't find myself feeling like something is missing from what is currently airing.

That said, I'd prefer it if people didn't talk about the novel in the anime only threads (like this one). You're allowed to compare stuff that has already aired, but not stuff down the line, or general novel discussion (we already have a thread for that).

Well, I'm going to be a bit more insistent than this. I already had to go through and add spoiler tags to a whole bunch of early posts for untagged comparisons, and now I deleted 10 posts for discussing things not animated. I'd ask that everyone please review the policy, as it will be enforced strictly next week.

Am I the only one who feels like Araragi is too calm?
I mean he lost everyone and doesn't even attempt to time travel again and easily accept life in this new world.
