My Rating....
Story... Very Good... I see they're using the smart approach... with the lovely flower names and other stuff... don't really care for the race thing... it does look almost too simple...
Action... Excellent... but need more... the opening is just too action packed to make simple ep like this... Characters... Perfect... 3 more cute characters ... what more could you ask for... hm... expected to see the cat grow a little... must be a time jump coming ... Overall - Excellent What was that sand that Hakuoro-dono told Oyaji to use on the soil ? food ? holy dirt ? holy animal shit ?

Probably a primitive form of fertilizer like potash, mixed minerals, like lime or calcium .... soil nutrients familiar to farmers the world over. As you plant, the crops suck this stuff out of the soil, so if you combine addition of these minerals and good tilling practice along with crop rotation (changing which crop you plant where regularly) you have a much healthier land to plant on. Interesting that Hakuoro would know about that.
I give it fair points for having some depth ... all these little bits and pieces that tell us this is a real, functional, working world.... and a little action for the short attention span crowd.

Sweet, separate forum, now I don't have to worry about spoilers anymore... ^^
I'll just repost what I said in the original thread: Hakuoro doesn't seem very curious about his past... I'm watching the beginning of episode 3 again, and they talk about how maybe he was a scholar from a distant land, but he's a man of the village now... No reaction. Sure he spazzed out a little in episode 2, with the jaws vision, but has he given up actively trying to figure out his past? Quote:

Perhaps thats likely. About him not being curious about the past, his past life may be so full of fighting that now subconsiously, he feels it better to settle peacefully as a nobody in the village rather than to pursue his past. Anyhow, he spazzes out again in ep4. So even if he's not actively searching, and whether he wants it or not, his past will catch up with him...

I gave 7 to this episode. Despite the introduction of new characters, I didn't feel the "pressure" I could feel during the 2 first episodes, to which I gave 8.
Then Yuzuha is not cute, she's... tiresome, with her eyes wide shut. Maybe I'll get to like her as the series goes on. The fact is I just realized I'm a big fan of Tusukuru-sama. What a woman! I usually don't like elder type characters, because they all look alike, but she rocks! Don't you think? Spoiler for things to come very soon:
