oh and incase it matters, they used the opening that was used in the ura version of the first ep..

it could just be they'll be switching between them every once in a while,
but it could also mean they will use that to differ serious eps from comedy eps..

Well, as expected, almost no comedy. It still wasn't bad however. And still better than most of Gonzo's other works. I'll keep at it for a few more eps.

As for the story, pretty generic. Seems odd he would suddenly start bleeding after appearing just fine. The new party seems to be missing something in the personality department. I hope they don't go the route of "I'm gonna save the world but everyone thinks im evil but im a hero" and clear up the ending.

Just saw episode two. It did lack the humor of the first episode (of course), but I liked episode two, regardless. So far, I pretty much like all the characters. Jill is a bit goofy, though.

Really liking the series so far.

Kaaya's microphone wand and the spinning lance are really cool weapons. And let's not forget the golf club/staff too. ~_~

Maybe the caddy can use those spare golf clubs she carry around as bolts for long range. Ah, we will probably see her in action, hopefully in the next episode~!

That was pretty much the thing that got me into watching this in the first place. >_< !

Yeah they made him out to be useless and wimpy and I was totally surprised about his strength. Getting hit with a rock also surprised me...until he started bleeding...delayed reaction!

That's nothing special for Druaga, there are stronger characters out there - you should've seen the ura version of episode 1.

Stereotypical, but good. Plus, there was still a bit of humor in the episode... So, an Oracle uses support and status magic while Mages use attack magic? Or something like that? Jil... wow, he sure has a hard head. He's an idiot, but he seems to have managed to gain a few things from his stupidity this episode. And he actually managed to fight. Never expected him to be Neeba's half-brother... 0_0 And now, he's framed for killing Gilgamesh (for a man named Gilgamesh to get killed so easily... -_-). Wonder what happened to Ahmey/Kaaya and the other group. Wonder how many people will believe Jil is innocent. Preview: Before the Journey; golf mage and loli servant reappears. Though for people who haven't watched Ura ep.1, this should be their first time seeing the two in the actual anime (not including OP/ED). Spoiler for Episode two: I was surprised when Jill took the attacks from the two "thieves"; I didn't expect him to be so tough. The way he handled the assassins was also a bit surprising. It was awesome, though. Can't wait to see episode three.

Edit: Spoiler: Still random goofy stuffs here and there, but overall serious. (Lol mic. xD And I want that spear for a weapon. Oh, Jil's definitely put his points in STR and VIT/CON. Maybe some LUK too 'cause of ura ep. 1.) Overall still an idiot, but Jil is actually pretty strong (see stats reference)... I think he's just lacking real combat training that had him knocked out last episode. Or he doesn't have enough VIT / DEF for the mobs. (Hence the repair/upgrade for the buckler?) I'm liking this new party more than the old one. The usual flagging at the end of the episode, ED kinda expected, definitely looking forward to the next one. Oh. We have a tank, a errr, lancer, a supposed healer and then in the next ep a mage and a caddy? Sounds like a balanced party, 'cept the caddy part and maybe the lancer part... (Usually it'd be a swordie or something, but I guess Jill can do that too with his STR.)
