Putting it through the MT strainer, the article appears to discuss about the sudden prevalence of idol anime, what with several titles existing previously or ongoing right now.

As for both titles mentioned in the same breath, I would be paying for watching two worlds collide. Why not?

Mostly an expostion episode, that explains a bit more about the Center Nova, and Mii's intentions. Also Nagisa seems to have decided to go the Center Nova route to save Yuuko.
I didn't like particularly how Mii redeemed herself, as it was too quick of a turnaround for my tastes (same with the others changing opinion on her).
Now, I'm wondering where they warped to since they did a Kirara Drive jump without setting the destination...
With four episodes left, there's still quite a bit they have to explain, I hope they don't rush it.

Mii had a legitimate fear about what happens to a Center Nova, people don't know what happens and while it may end up sappy and somewhat predictable near the end, this anime is a celebration of AKB48 and will show us nothing to fear about it.

That's one of the biggest issues I have with the anime, despite liking it: it glorifies (despite using the sci-fi setting) the work of AKB48 too much for my tastes, trying to hide all the issues that world has. The whole discussion about Position Zero in Stage 21 felt incredibly fake to me, for example (I'm referring to the bit that Position Zero "protects the others").

You could call this show a marketing/propaganda machine to sell the real group, but this ain't like the NKOTB cartoon (I've watched that once and it was terrible watching). Have you remember that -- except for a few works of art -- most pieces of everyday animation has some form of follow-up merchandising to offer to the audience?

I would wish to have a little more length to explain some of the science but the studio don't have much budget to risk at, this being an original production while the competition has it made from the start.

Orine's VA -- Sayaka Nakaya -- has recently announced yesterday that she will graduate on the coming 6th, in order to better focus on becoming a full-time seiyuu and to concentrate on securing a voice role in a major animation series (possibly any of the Big Three).

I sincerely wish her luck.

Having failed to capture Yuuko, Chieri's father plans to use Chieri now.

Nagisa decides to become Center Nova to rescue Yuuko.

Miichan got to be really badass at the end, and she still can make her kirara glow.


I just wonder what Chieri's gonna do. She feels she has to handles her father on her own, but doesn't really know what to do right now. She also doesn't seem to be interested in becoming Center Nova, and now that the secret's out she has even more reasons not to be interested. This may change now that Nagisa has announced her intentions of going Center Nova to bright back Yuuko though. To help Nagisa, Chieri may decide to go for it too. We'll see.

The cave and the temple are connected right? So the barrier that protects the rest of the members should also protect Sensei-Sensei. THough wonder how long it will last. Mii-chan was pretty badass at the end, glad that Takamina saved her from running away again. Now Nagisa has a bigger drive for the center nova position. Though Chieri might not be concerned with it right now. I think Ushiyama might be right in that the past center novas wouldn't want to be saved. Even though Mii-chan wanted to save them, she didn't have an actual plan to do that, like how was she planning on carrying that out.

No center nova in history has ever been able to step into that other world and come back again. What Nagisa wants to do seems impossible. I cannot imagine Chieri would willingly abandon her, knowing what she intends.

Judging from what we've heard from Acchan, I'd say they went where they wanted to go. Yuuko, however, I think will want to come back. She has promises to keep here. Whatever is on the other side, there are people on this side who need her.

Wow at Mii-chan's flashback of the kirara, if that is their true form they're more alike an alien race than just cute alien mascots. That scene made me imagine a different race that discovered ours, became wotas and bring the best of the idols to their own dimension. XD

The part about whether they want to go back is interesting. We may get only a few, or maybe only Yuuko to want to come back in the end. Also I think one way this may go is: Nagisa becomes Center Nova and disappear just after. On the other world she would convince Yuuko to go back, and maybe others. But to actually go back they would need the portal to be open from the other side. That's where Chieri would enter, also becoming a Center Nova not long after which opens the portal (and not necessarily means she will disappear at that moment, as I understood from the episode) so Nagisa and Yuuko can come back. It could also work if you invert Nagisa and Chieri's role.

I'm curious about what Sensei-sensei really is. The way they talked about him, seems more like he is human, different from my computer theory from a while ago. Also doesn't seems to me like he is a kirara or related to them as some think. Maybe a conserved brain of the original AKB producer himself, as others also theorized.

I wonder if we are getting more succession in the end, as it does seems this Akibastar attack arc will be longer than it looks, and they may only get it back in the end. They may not have much time to think about succession, nor have the contact with S4 to do so, but we will see.
