"It's my fault... That Kite turned into a little girl!" That was just hilariously anticlimactic. Gotta love how Ging had no idea what to say to that.

It's the Killua-Alluka/Nanika scene that really stands out though. Leave it to HunterxHunter to bring out the feels two episodes in a row.

As for Pariston, he immediately resigns which is perfectly in line with his character, which no doubt pisses Cheadle off. Some are gonna see Pariston as not that bad of a guy as they thought, but I'm not buying it. While his admiration for Netero may be true, everything he does is all for the purpose of messing with people, which I'm certain Pariston loves very much.

On one more note, in the manga, I thought Silva was the one who rescinded the restrictions, but it was actually Kikyo. Hmmm...

Togashi, don't touch my tender spot! ;(
Is next week last episode? I was really enjoying HxH especially since ant arc.

Btw maybe it's too late but I think Nanika is better expression as subtitle than "something" like everybody is saying since it is a rhyme with Alluka.

I've been waitng for this for years...
When I first read this part in the manga, I thought that Killua and Illumi were going to fight. Brother against brother like Sasuke and Itachi....Then Togashi told me, "You should be ashamed for thinking tha. this is Hunter X Hunter, dumbass." Which I am....
Killua truly took the higher ground. Not only he didn't go into a fight with Illumi, but finally embraced both Alluka and Nanika all in one. Killua has become a great hunter, and great sibling, and a great person. Killua and Alluka are great shounen siblings, standing to greats with Ed and Al from Fullmetal Alchemist.

A bit anticlimatic (seems like the series' weak point as usual) but I still enjoyed the episode. By the way, am I the only one who believes Ging looks like Yusuke Urameshi?

I see Pariston's actions here as basically analogous to Chrollo playing a "requiem" for Uvo by murdering a bunch of people and stealing stuff. Doing what he'd do anyway, but motivated by genuine grief.

Togashi himself seems pretty aware of that:

man, the sexual tension between Cheadle and Pariston was so heavy this episode. OTP
Tsubone was pretty badass this whole arc too. She was one of my favorites this arc.
I like that Gon and Killua seem to be going their separate ways for now. They really need time separated instead of being joined at the hip 24/7

Alluka/Nanika. She's the only person you need to end the Chimera arc in 1 chapter.

Killua: AllukaNanika , kill the King of Ants for me.
Nanika: Aye

As it has mentioned before, you didn't even need that. All you needed was a few tactical nukes dropped in the imperial palace. Togashi has always been an specialist at making fun of traditional power rankings. No need to be surprised now,

Or you could try to do it without killing millions of civilians and turning the country into a radioactive crater.

But you would have to deal with the immense repercussions of the next request or lose many lives in response.

There would be none if Killua is the one ordering her to do that. The Killua x Nanika combo can solve any problem in the world. It's a complete bullshit ability. Killua is effectively omnipotent thanks to her.

Eh, i don't know..his simple-minded reasoning to say Pariston is exactly what i'd expect from a typical shonen protagonist.

Yea, its pretty standard shonen protagonist.
Gon doesn't know or care about the chairman stuff or politics, and he knows Leo wants to be a doctor, so he just names whoever is standing there.

Its like a king asking a shonen protagonist what reward he wants, land or money whatever.
And he just goes "I just want food, I'm hungry" because he doesn't care about that kind of stuff.

I'm more annoyed by the fact that 2 candidates for president were murdered in cold blood and nobody bothers enough to investigate.

Investigate what? They already know who the killer is - it's just a question of bringing him to justice.

just read this interesting comment....from RC

"I’m surprised I’m only realizing this now but, the Hunters Association really is one massive daredevils’ club. For a while I was thinking hunters like Hisoka are more of an outlier than the norm, but that’s not right is it? What is Hisoka if not one big adrenaline junkie (with a penchant for murder)? Then that puts him on the same boat as Netero, Ging, and even Pariston.

What separates the Association then, from groups like the Phantom Troupe, is that its more on the ethical, legal side of things (but only SLIGHTLY just). I bet the Association’s founders just wanted to build up an organization to support their dangerous hobbies, and that meant its members had to be just as dangerous too. And that meant governments would take notice and hire them for dangerous jobs. So it snowballed into a powerful, international organization of very strong people. After that, people with more “practical” wants (money, influence, etc.) started applying too."

in a way i guess that is right...

The Hunter Association isn't a company of saints. And that's exactly why some people voice their desire to change the selection process. The Hunter Association wasn't originally created with this in mind. I assume it's like whitecloud said, the organization was made so that adventure loving folks can do whatever the hell they want. And the reason the selection process does not discriminate against anyone as long as they are "good enough" is because the fact that they are "a club full of strong people" is what keeps the money flowing.
