I remember XI's marriage giving you some cosmetic items in the cost of the wedding itself, but no, it's pretty much just a big RP event hosted by the system (and a currency sink).
The same cosmetic items could also be crafted though, so same-sex couples back in XI when I played would simply RP their own wedding--without having to pay a huge cost in gil, mind you.

Of course they could still bomb entirely and give up on the whole thing. But i doubt that.

Looks very immersive ... I was actually amused when the squirrel things didn't attack the player
Soundscape sounds pretty good though I'd be cranking the music down from the settings the video used. *background* music is background

If we are still the chosen one who can see back in time or what ever. They should make the markers a special seal or something, make it a little lore friendly.

Fond memories of getting lost in FFXI. Exploration is fun and dangerous. After you memorized it, becomes routine. If all else fails or lazy, strategy guide.
The frustrating parts of FFXI were always the most memorable for me i.e Chains of Promathia missions. |

Not to mention nothing was soloable, so it's not like you could just spend an afternoon exploring unless you wanted to die.

I didn't really care much about jumping or swimming most ff games didn't have them and it was still good. The maps were unique and have their own quirks. Last edited by Sassarai; 2012-12-01 at 17:22. |

Looking through nostalgia-tinted glasses I see. I'm older now than when I played XI and have less free time. I appreciate modern MMOs that let me go from point A to point B rather rapidly without having to spend twenty minutes running from scary monsters.

Oh don't get me wrong I would prefer it to be less time consuming for sure. Just not to the point of less say FF13 and FF13-2. Not like old rpgs either where every step is a random encounter. More like say Tales of the Abyss type. I definitely don't want to wait for a 24hr pop HNM anymore and taking a long time to get to certain areas. For mmos I guess I'm not into the WoW style where it's fetch this and that, kill 10 of this and that, and gear become obsolete as soon as you hit the next area. Modern shouldn't mean being dumbed down to the point where everyone can go through it with ease.

If you have a FINAL FANTASY XIII (PS3) Members code, please enter it here for a chance to receive priority access to the PS3 Beta.
I have a copy of FF13 where is the members code located at? o_O. I see a registration code though is that it? |
