I wonder what will become of erika and tanaka. Despite being an ainsworth tanaka shows no hostility toward her. Makes me wonder if there fate won't be similar to an older version of pandora's mythology one where she never opened the box and married prometheus.

Sequence of events. Illya installs Berserker Herakles she and Bazett try to tag team Beatrice Thor Berserker. Still doesn't work so in desperation Illya uses the Rider Medusa card at the same time resulting to Avenger Medusa stage 1 from Fate Grand Order.





This implies certain combos will result to alternate class versions even those outside of the seven classes.

Like say Lancer + Saber = Lancer Artoria.

I think it's the best idea to come out of those cards, it certainly makes for new possible servant transformations without giving one of the characters Julian's ability to make them. That said it makes the saber card positively broken because there is as of now an artoria for every class besides the specials and caster( with the caster card being broken already so no possibility of that being revealed outside GO)

Based on what's being said over on BL, this is a trait specific to the Berserker card. So we won't see Saber + Lancer or anything like that.

Yep, it's a trait special to the Berserker card. Normally when you change installs, you just change to the other card, like what Illya did when she fought Kuro in the rooftop, going Lancer-Rider-Saber. But when you switch installs from Berserker to another card, it will overwrite the next card. It's called Berserker class Inheritance(バーサーカークラス継承).

Oh and the Berserker card has a time limit on its usage. 10 minutes.

It makes sense because Berserker class is the only one that can be "forced" by addition of a single line to the chant. So in a sense, installing something after berserker class forces those attributes onto the class summoned.

And the idea of thor facing a serpent is beautiful enough that I can forgive Hiroyama using low cost messy FGO design(albeit one of the better ones there) instead of doing something cooler that he can.

Not exactly. Sakura is yandere because she's dead. She's probably the same even with the card deactivated.

Well Sakura is yandere not simply because she's dead, but more of that she was brought back wrong and the mental/soul damage is what's making the poor girl so unhinged, not to mention manipulation from Julian.

It's the exact same thing that happened to Shinji. Brought back from the dead as a doll but lost something along the way. Sakura is worse off because she's also using Berserker. While it's true Shirou has been benched, I still think he'll be the one to put Sakura down.

Except not, there's a clear difference between Shinji's kind of crazy and Sakura's kind of delirious and Sakura's Berserker-ish behavior.

Not to mention Sakura is arguably mentally stronger than Shinji in the first place, so right now you are just arguing semantics - "Oh she has other reasons to go crazy too!" does not change the fact that she is crazy because she has installed Berserker on her for so long. We have no measure of how crazy Sakura would be without having done that.

At this point, you can't yet say with certainty "she is crazy because she has installed Berserker on her for so long". You can say "she is crazy and she has installed Berserker on her for so long", but we haven't really seen enough of her to draw any solid causal relationships. We know being a doll affects one mentally (though not always crazy—see Angelica), and we know the Berserker card does so as well. Chances are, it's a little of both. You might be right, but frankly we're going to need to wait until her obligatory "moment of self-sacrificial clarity" to get a complete picture.

Given that, between Gil's latent ego and the Berser-card, they've introduced the idea of the card affecting the user's mentality, it's a shame there doesn't appear to be a Rider Medb card... ^_^

I'd rather they stick to actually characterized heroic spirits from real fate works(ex: I'd love to see Cu-install versus Darmuid-install, or for example actually seeing Cu's wolf form alluded to in the legends, or for example non-Berserker Herc) or create their own(Hiroyama is arguably best designer of type moon stuff right now, the flashback saber armor was better than 99% of FGO designs, even though that is not saying much considering the state of FGO designs overall) instead of going for something fgo-original.

IllyaKiritsugu and his wife showing up to kick some ass would be really neat. How long has it been since Illya entered the parallel world? They must be quite worried about her disappearance. I don't think IllyaShirou was trained though. Kiritsugu seems to want his children to stay out of the whole magic business. There could always be a surprise, of course.
