Episodes 1 and 2
And here it is, finally. Well... the first 2 episodes were kind of good in terms of adapting the source, doesn't feel rushed at all and the VA's work is nice. But there is something off about this, we don't have huge censorship, instead of that the subtle objects hiding something so that's a nice touch, what seems a little bit weird is the designs, obviously they won't be like the manga ones but Tsugumomo is a story that is mainly based on 2 things, ecchi and the juicy designs from the author. Spoiler for Comparison with Manga designs:
Kiriha the best as always, Kazuya... is kazuya, needs some room to improve. Overall these 2 episodes were good, it could be better but I think we need more episodes to judge this adaptation in a better way. Last edited by AB079; 2017-04-02 at 15:38. |

I saw the first two episodes and well....it was pretty much exactly what I had expected.
Animation wasn't impressive although censorship isn't that bad. (BD/DVDs will probably be less tame). They'll probably introduce the other main female characters soon so time will tell. It's a supernatural harem story so yeah, I'm not expecting too much from this.

if they can even come close to the manga this will be good, the reason people have low expectation of the anime is exactly because they think the manga will be hard to adapted into anime, both in terms of fan services and action sequences.
normally I would say if you don't want to spoil yourself then watch the anime first, but for this series (19 books) one TV season (probably through book 6) is just barely enough to introduce all the main characters, so go ahead and read the manga first if you have access, just remember the main story line starts around book 10 if you don't want to know the major spoilers,

I looked at one which I saw on Youtube. Just by looking at the subs it is extremely obvious that the subs are bad. Bad spelling everywhere, sub font/position changing all the time, mistimed subs, lines which are not translated, etc. Then again, some fansubs are notorious for these kinds of things. I heard there are better fansubs out now but I'm not going out of my way to look for them. By the way, this anime feels like it came from the early 00s. So the fansubs fit in quite well.
