Very simple - they *aren't*. I'm very sure the crow never intended in the first place to help Rei in getting her parents and friends back or restoring her world or whatever else. After all, it was probably the crow who killed her parents and friends and all that, just to make Rei desparate. Then the crow told her some retarded crock story about how it would bring back her parents and friends and all that if she did what the crow wanted, and Rei agreed without thinking, desperate as she was. (I seriously doubt the crow could bring back her parents and friends which it killed, even if it wanted.)

Even if Rei *would be* successful in destroying the Incarnation engine with the Alone, the best case is that the crow would say, "That's it. Now I don't need you anymore, get lost." If she would protest then, the crow would simply kill her.
The much more likely case though would be that the crow would kile Rei right away: "Now I don't need you anymore, so I better better finish you off before you turn against me, or before someone can use you against me."

Given how sadistic and wicked the crow is however, hnd how much it enjoys torturing Rei, it's much more likely that it has Rei go to school because it knows that Rei doesn't like it.

One shining day, Wakaba asks her beloved friend Himawari to go on a date, but the latter was approached by a fashion admirer to work as a top model, which only takes on a short term. Unfortunately, another Alone appears, and the two girls once team with Akane and Aoi (now fused as Vivid Blue) to kill it, resulting in a rewarding victory. The ending scene shows Rei taking a shower while still being mentally harassed by the crow as usual. This new episode takes a break for the second time, and Himawari's diverse collection of casual outfits was excellent. It was a calm day before the storm takes place in the next episode. Looks like I'm also happy to see Rei's shower scene uncensored as well. Since I'm very well used to crotch shots, I will admit the first few episodes have a lot of it, but the latest ones weren't too bad either. It seems there's 3 episodes left, so I think I will fully prepare for the stormy action !
