I think so. Kira loves chopping off heads (on the order of the queen?).

Which one, the red or the white queen?

White queen is still an appropriate title for Lacus, since durandal actually calls her this. The Red queen meanwhile is Fllay for obvious reasons (her hair color, and her apparent likeness to another fictional queen now you know why Eidolon Sniper uses that avatar). Which brings me to monster's query about the Queen of Hearts. In the Tim Burton AoW, The Red Queen = QoH and is opposite the White queen.

According to the HD Remaster (which now has priority over the original, in terms of canon order), Kira didn't kill Nicol. Nicol killed Nicol.

It may look that way at first, but no, Kira still killed Nichol.

Remaster or the original, I always saw it as Nichol lunged into the sword as Kira tried to dodge. Not as Kira swinging the sword to strike the Blitz.

Nichol's death probably could have been avoided if Athrun told Nichol about the Strike's pilot being a close friend. Nichol would have been the only one who would understand why Athrun took the actions that he did earlier....

Sure, but I was talking about the action, not the intent. As far as the action is concerned, in the original and in the remaster, Kira put the sword between the Strike and the Blitz, which contributed significantly to Nichol's death.

Thus, Kira still killed Nichol, even if he didn't intend for it to happen.

Kira is self-loathing though, he blames himself for everything... Except when he stopped Shinn from saving Stella.

That was just an unfortunate case of Shinn not being able to overcome Stella's fear of the Freedom. Kira didn't do anything other than possibly saving Shinn.

Pretty much. It was either let Shinn and countless others die, and then try to extract Stella afterwards, which probably still would have required him killing her. Or kill Stella and save Shinn. He chose option of saving more people. And considering the size of Stella's massacre, he probably didn't even think she was worth saving, not knowing her situation.

And if he hadn't been there at all, Shinn would have certainly died fighting Destroy, Neo and Sting at the same time alone in Impluse. Kira and AA provided some (unappreciated) much needed assistance.

it's really better if you don't know the pilot personally because it would be harder to fight. In Shinn's case, he knew and was close to Stella. Kira doesn't know Stella and her state of mind so seeing that Stella massacred everyone, Stella isn't even worth saving

In all honesty I never saw Stella as worth saving to begin with. She had been through such a horrid life, and there was no chance of recovery, the kindest thing Shinn could have done in my opinion was basically euthanasia. And in all honesty I think from a character perspective it would have been more interesting to see the fallout of as well, because I really dislike that whole Destroy stuff and how silly Shinn came out looking with it and the few episodes after.

Attacking and trying to kill the guy who has saved him and countless people after they were having the same thing he himself hates Orb for inflicted on them, that hypocritical attitude just rubbed me up the wrong way.

Found something interesting.
http://www.crunchyroll.com/anime-new...-gundam-series
4,000 Japanese gundam fans were asked what they thought was the best post 1990 gundam series and Seed and destiny are at the bottom. I thought seed was more popular then that in Japan.

but then you realize that Turn A, AGE and X are ranked above. So they might've asked 4000 internet fans

I still find it weird. From everything I've seen and heard, the Japanese ate seed up like no tomorrow for the longest time but here it's at the bottom of the list. Would the opinions of internet fans really differ from the general population that made seed so successful by that much.
