I know it is admiration but you cant deny the "homo ambient" everytime that guy appears... i mean he is shy, speaks to no one but ippo, has a photo of him in his wallet and the other guy follows his senior everywhere, has a poster of him in his bedroom and gets jealous because he wasnt showed a new technique first.

Well... im just saying that if all the homo thing was supposed to be funny, it didnt work at all. And if it wasnt..... well i just hope some girl will pop up once in a while.

Dude there are like no homoerotic undertones in ippo, in sports culture that kind of stuff goes on in the locker room all the time. Though the scenario you just described is quite homo, but really Ippo is straight his over enthusiasm does make him have wierd reactions to boxing, but thats more his love of boxing, and chasing the unattainable, which was again brought out this chapter. When ippo first says I was hoping for him to be ahead of me, with out the follow up I thought it was quite lame, but the second time it reminded me why I like ippo, aslong as he's not "strong" he continues to fight. Anyway ya just wanted to try to clear up some of that.

Hmm...Seems RBJ has been suffering for partial memory lost. Kinda like Mick Foley long ago when Vader powerbomb him in the steal railings. Ouch, But in any case RBJ still has his good looks intact.

Part of me kinda died out on Ippo's fandom on Miyata. I feel like he's Hammer Nao now at his level of admiration on Miyata and Iam not going to the gay part again lolz. Ippo's got a great trainer and friends one thing that sets him apart from the Hamma in terms of skill.

Kumi and Ippo "hooking up" per se is seemingly doomed from the start, considering that the author made Kumi Mashiba's little sister. Even if Ippo weren't such a dweeb expressing his feelings to Kumi, he would still have the huuugggee obstacle in Mashiba to overcome in order to "legitimize" his and Kumi's relationship...and we all know how Mashiba reacts to anyone who even harms a hair on his little sister (aka Sawamura)! hehe

Nah, at this point I think Ippo could make a move on her without Mashiba raising much of an objection. He's more or less accepted them as a couple now, especially after Itagaki's lecture (the only useful thing Itagaki has ever done). It's Ippo/Morikawa who isn't ready for a relationship now, which sucks because Kumi deserves much better than a wishy-washy Miyata-obsessed guy like that. I bet if she dumped him he'd be much less hurt than he was when Miyata cancelled their match.

that was kind of an abrupt end to the chapter. i highly doubt taht now Taka has seen the problem he will let the fight go easely. the one i feel sorry for is Mr Sakaguchi, not only is the poor old man having constipation but, now he's got Taka.

It's always like that for Takamura. Fights go his way easy win. Hard fights, gets beaten badly then rages goes berserk and wins.

the real problem i see for ippo and mashibas sis is the two other much much more agressive girls who are after ippo, that reporter and itigakis little sister...... the doctor didn't seem put off by the idea of ippo either.
