I heard before that it was Kubo's initial idea to include guns (shotguns?) in his shinigami manga, but resorted to big swords instead....

Then I guess since now Soi Fon and Stark are officially KT favourite characters

I kinda expect to see Soi Fon's bankai more often now

LOL. I still stick to what I said.

I wouldn't be surprised if Baraggan and Harribel aren't done yet. They'll come back defeating the captains after Stark finished his fight. My only hope is that they don't come back like god-without-a-scratch. Them having some sort of damage can balance things out in my perspective.

Regarding Starks appearance it appears he has sniper scope and ammunition circling his body . First it reminded me of Cross Marian from D.Gray.Man . Then I was like Nue (Zabimaru) ,the ammo did appear like a tail (snake) .

omg...i was ye close to writing the comment about his comparison to cross marian. he even looks similar and acts just as lazy....all we need for confirmation is for either the gun or an attack called Judgement

Well for starters they have a similar personality . And on closer inspection appearance is kind of similar too .

Hell if Stark has Lily, Cross has Allen O_O

lol...im not sure allen would agree to fuse with cross

stark's release does look pretty cool but its speculative powers are far from what i imagined...i guess thats left for the LV

What I do not understand about the introduction of guns in the series, especially in regard to Soi Fon, is that they seem to make the characters inherently inferior to fighters whose bankai are speed-based or 'magical' in some way.

For example, how would a fight go between Soi Fon and either Ichigo or Byakuya or even Tosen. It seems that she needs to be stationary to fire her cannon-like arm, and even then, unless the opponent was distracted, could they not just dodge the blasts? Wouldn't the use of flash steps make her bankai irrelevant or what am I missing here?

Well her blast is a big one, besides it is her bankai so she might have learned to move around with it. And cnsidering that it is Soi Fon, she could come up with strategy... besides there can be more to it.

Wow, Soifon's Bankai may not have been what I expected, but I guess it's powerful. I really thought Soifon's fight was going to last longer, but it was a one hit Bankai after all. I hope Soifon gets to Bazooka Aizen to death.

Time to see Ukitake, Kyouraku and the Old Man's Bankai.

Wow.

Stark's release is quite unexpected. I mean, after all those other 9 espadas (including Yammy) released into powerful-looking figures, Stark doesn't look powerful at all.

Anybody that began watching Bleach and suddenly saw the releases of all the Espada would certainly put Barragan into a very high rank, though I doubt they would think Stark's release being stronger than Barragan's.

It's so simple, yet it amazes me, I don't know why. I hope to see an ability that can even overpower Barragan's (because sincerely, I don't see Barragan being affected or wounded by bullets).

Anyways, I also hope Barragan isn't done yet. He wasn't fighting at full power at any moment. He could've killed Soi Fon without even releasing.

Halibel, on the other hand, feels quite weaker than Ulquiorra. Of course, it's just a feeling. I think Ulquiorra's second release could compare to Barragan in power, and maybe even Stark or Yammy. Though, I'll only compare after we see what they're capable of.

whoa whoa whoa....i wouldn't just do that yet. that'd be the end of bleach. old man's bankai is still a faraways off...we're likely to see zaraki's before that. i highly doubt soi fon's bankai would even scratch aizen though. kyoraku's bankai might be shown, might not. i just wanna see stark in action
