Is it just me, or did Hachikuji look unexpectedly... fierce this episode?

I can barely keep myself up, but I had to log in after watching episode 5. Was I wrong when I mentioned after watching episode 3 that the reason Senjogahara didn't want Araragi to touch her or didn't want to touch anything touched by Araragi because she was pouting for the earlier rejection? Hell's yeah. Fortunately, I wasn't completely wrong when I also said the usual approach at explaining won't work in this storyline. Absolutely loved, I mean, L-O-V-E-D episode 5. Everything from top to the end was very very well organised. It almost felt like that every line of the dialogues needed to rely on the previous so the following line can be established. So finally when.......

.....Senjogahara confessed to Araragi...., it made sense.... to put it oddly. And yes, Senjogahara's reaction in episode 3 was appropriate because no one sane would want to catch what ever the guy had who just seconds ago was fighting invisible foe with such rigor and passion. Senjogahara after all, and in her own words mind you, is normal. I'm not making this up. I swear that's what she claimed.

Time to go to bed.

p.s. The other thing that I mentioned at the beginning of this thread still stands. I would so be interested to find out what Shaft will be able to do with bunch of money and time to work with on a project of their choosing. There was one frame of Senjogahara which tells what they can do. Like one poster here said earlier, this series is a work of art in modern pop. Yeah... I'll go to bed before I suffer from another episode of flashback.... that's like 3 consecutive ones in one post.

Really well done episode! It almost makes up for the boring walls of speech in the previous episode or two. Up to the part where Hitagi came was really funny, from that part to the part where Hachikuji disappears was a good story, and the BGM to the end was touching. Don't really care about Hitagi, so the last scene was of little interest though. The sudden confession in English was just (o_0) too. Though the BGM (instrumental of her OP?) was good.
Speaking of OP, they only use that OP once? Oi, oi...

The doll scene for Hachikuji's past... Liked the way it was animated... Needlessly creepy though.

It's also a shame Hachikuji manages to stay in this world. Kind of ruins the mood...

Actually Senjougahara was afraid that she was the one who wasn't normal. Being abnormal for 2 years has made her think it would be normal for her to be the one with problems if she couldn't see something that Koyomi could see.

This, my friends, was probably the among the straightest and most honest pitches I've seen ANY female lead make in anime, possibly taking the top spot.

What I found particularly impressive was the way it was delivered AND explained. This was no line on a whim. She knew what she was saying, and she wasn't joking. The controlled un-excited way she delivered it did NOT indicate ambivalence or whimsical aloofness, because the way she explained it absolutely made sense.

Araragi-kun, you probably don't even realize how lucky you are

Senjougahara steals the show yet again. I laughed out loud at her sudden confession. Was caught totally by surprise and, yes, it was a definitely "squee" moment for me.

Araragi, you're a lucky bastard indeed. Well, there goes all my speculations about where their relationship was headed.

As for Hachikuji's predicament, I get the gist of what happened to her (lost child who died while searching for her mother...?), but will reserve comments until I watch the subs.

The same thought occurred to me. Senjougahara had been noticeably wary of her for a while.

What a straight forward confession! I never see any female character or any tsundere character act like this before. The most impressive is that she could keep her cool at the same time. She was calm and clear. No sign of shyness or any hesitation at all. She just said it out loud and she absolutely knew what she was talking about. That's amazing. Senjougahara is now one of my most favorite female character ever.

Not many girls in real-life used to weigh only 5kg either (real-life girls would probably "kill" to share that predicament!). Senjougahara is a work of fiction, brilliantly conceptualised. That's what makes her so fun to watch.
