Just to let everyone know that I did actually enjoy the series tremendously overall, but it's just the last few episodes which I felt were a bit of a let-down. But my final opinion may be open for revision based on how End of Evangelion goes.

For the time being I'd give it an overall score of 8.9/10.

The last two episodes are a really great complement to EoE, after EoE everything in those episodes makes A LOT MORE sense.

I agree with this.

I even wish they'd release the last two episodes as a movie following EoE instead of wasting effort on compilation movie like Death & Rebirth. Now, imagine watching the last two episodes on the big screen
