Probably why the IS is my most killed Tier 7 tank. Brawling against them in my Tiger or Panther is always a treat.

The IS is a mediocre tank with average armor and gun. Even if I enjoyed it more than the Tiger. Though for you, you can reliably pen the IS from pretty much anywhere with either a Tiger or Panther provided you have their last guns.

The IS-3, 8 & 7 however, become very different. Those can bring a world of hurt.

Though this is probably where I am hating the Russian bias.

IS ~ 175 pen w/top gun
IS-3 ~ Sudden jump to 225 pen w/top gun
IS-8 ~ Further jump to 268 pen w/top gun

E-75... 246 pen and a reload time that is more than a second slower than the IS-8. I call that BS.

It's interesting to compare my 94-game KV-1S run to my 29-game IS run so far. (I haven't gotten the final gun for the IS yet.)

Accuracy percentage is about the same. The damage average is about 100 points higher on the IS (so far), but that's because I was saddled with the useless 85mm cannons on the KV-1S for a while.

Survival rate was actually better with the KV-1S, despite the lighter armor. Tiering has much to do with that, but the KV-1S also had a much better top speed (even though I still do not have the final engine on the IS... but it's never going to be peppy). Also, the IS's turret armor is, at best, reliant on lucky bounces.

Incorrect. The M103 and T110's 120mm M58 gun is quite different from the T34's 120mm T53 gun: the M58 has much better penetration - 268 avg to the T53's 248 - and it fires faster as well.

A tank is more than just its gun you know, as the E-75 has quite a good balance of everything, including armor (180mm to the IS-8's 120mm). Also, the balance for the E-75's top gun (128mm Kwk 44 L/55) having 246 pen is having 490 avg damage, compared to the IS-8's top gun (122mm M62-T2) having only 440.

Also, if you're comparing gun penetration:

Tiger ~ 203 pen with top gun
Tiger II ~ 225 with top gun

And if you're comparing just the top guns for the Tier 9 tanks, the M103 has both tanks beat, since it has the penetration of the Soviet gun yet fires .60 seconds faster and is more accurate than both the other guns. And if it's just guns, even the Conquerer's 120mm L1A1 is superior to the previously mentioned tanks, having slightly better RoF and accuracy than the M103

I think LoweGear and I make a good E-50 platoon, assuming the team can back us up. We lost a battle in the Fjord because our team was too timid to exploit the breakthrough we did, and got killed one by one. It was damn annoying.

I personally find the extra 60dmg on the 128 to be relatively dismissible when considering other factors. Never mind the 128 drops accuracy by a notable margin. I'd rather the 128 be 450 alpha, with .5 faster reload and 9 more pen with accuracy comparable to the 105.

There is nothing wrong with the E-75 as a vehicle by itself, but I feel the gun is underwhelming. As you know, I am a sucker for quick(er) retaliation. I mean, this tank has lower pen than the T34... what gives?

I know I will fall in love with the IS-7 should I manage to unlock it, because this is the one tank where I can bring a lot of fire support to just about anywhere on the map very quickly.

The VK2801 was already meeting cosmic horrors, but at least it could embarrass the unwary with a 105mm derp gun. The poor Leopard is stuck with trying to hide a larger profile than several other Tier IV scouts.

Incidentally, getting to the ELC AMX from the AMX 40 is making the journey from the Pz38nA to the PzIV look like a delightful all-expenses paid vacation.
