For the sake of gender equality, justice, the greater good, and Haruhi-sama, I shall from now on refer to Kohaku, Crona from Soul Eater, and other genderless/unknown gender characters as "they", "them", and "their".

I think part of the confusion is that Tokyopop decided to make the angels female and the devils male, I don't recall the scanlations I read doing that. Then again there aren't any really polite gender neutral pronouns in English, it has the connotation of being degrading and they can be confused with multiple people. Gah, such a big language with so few words...

Personally, I take their appearances to be pure aesthetics. It's all what they wish their audience to see. Something along these lines:
Guy 1: Hey, that chick looks cute! *points at Kohaku* Girl 1: Are you blind? He's a guy, and such a handsome one at that! ... and so on.

Anyways a pretty nice third episode. Talk about crazy how those umbrellas get around. The one Kobato borrowed from the store gets stolen, returned, and then given to the couple(almost) to use. Not to mention Kobato herself used her umbrella, the store one, Mutsumi's, and Fujimoto's. Besides the dropping of a certain stuffed animal numerous times Kobato did well. She managed to understand why Mutsumi was sad (more or less) and even got the situation resolved. Though that kind of duo may take a very long time to be honest with each other.
At least Ioryogi doesn't have to worry about getting wet. All the fire he breaths should dry him off relatively quickly .

Hey, what can I say? Kohaku being female is one of the few delusions I have (to hell with Word of God ), and damn proud of it. Must be my desire to see little Shuu and Kohakus running around...

Episode 3 - hilarious. There are some things that don't make sense, like her room & board situation, but its not important so I will overlook it. Umbrella was hilarious, you knew it was going to disappear. lol.

Those twins were cute. Though it's a good thing the sheets they were carrying prevented them from face-planting .

Interestingly enough Kobato managed to find the boarding house on her own in the manga, I actually like this version better.

Sure are. They're about 100x more adorable in this adaptation because of added color and voice. Sure hope their wardrobe changes in future episodes, along with more screentime. Shame they didn't mention anything about their Father though.

...Did [gg] make up a name for that Katsuragi kid? The subs said "Ralph" after Mutsumi yelled "KATSURAGIII".. wtf? XD;;
Annoying name things aside.. cute ep.. twin Chi's? I think I need to read more of CLAMP's older manga to figure out who all these people are. XD Like this Kohaku person. Just from people mentioning the name I imagined them to have black hair.. no idea why.. Boy did those umbrellas travel. Quote:

This site should help some with the crossovers (it explains the ones in the manga anyway, just skim the page if you're worried about minor spoilers). I find it interesting that most people who are watching Kobato aren't hardcore CLAMP fans (as I was expecting), good to see that CLAMP can still pull in new fans.
