Well, I take back my previous statement. NOW it has literally every named character, and we have our first official duplicate kanji given name (Hitomi Ezaki/Munesue). I wonder who's older, Nanpo or Oonuma?

My bet is on Oonuma pro. being the older of the two.

Right. The whole 5/6-shanten. But it's interesting that it blocks Saki's chances for a kan long enough for Shizu to activate hers to block it out the rest of the way.

Well, this just strengthens my assumption that the final captain round will be filled with opponents that are designed to be anti-Saki. And wow, if this is true their powers will even have good synergy with one another. lol.

Have I mentioned how I love the amount of thought Ritz puts in the mahjong matches? Analyzing the matches sure is fun. I'm almost through with the quarter finals.

no matter how long it is they aren't getting the finals in there. This means the semi-finals will definitely be animated though. As for the image, you are correct.

i think you are absolutely right, just like Ritz make a whole team of anti Teu at the semi final, this time is Sakis turn, if onee-chan can win when everyone are against her why not imouto,

and after all having shizu there at the table will enable Saki to show Teru
"onee-chan yes, above all those tree line on tallest of the mountain a flower can bloom"

I wonder if Ritz is making sure that, this time, the "side-cast" will be fleshed out pretty well? I feel like I've gotten to know Shino's background/character even better than some of the main characters.

So from the spoiler, Kanna seems to be a perfectionist type, always used to winning and so on. I'm actually growing to like her a lot more now. Saki is so full of overly-sweet/nice girls that Kanna, Hiroe, etc. sort of come off as very refreshing for me.
