Yeah that's pretty much the conclusion i came up with after the episode. Would have thought it's something they would have included in the episode though. Wonder if it was mentioned in the novel.

Yeah the fangirls (including myself) will go rampant though I liked the Shinari/Celty stuff more. Kasuka is adorable, doesnt matter that he didnt talk and yeah he kinda, kinda looked like Huey DEAR GAWD I LOVE HUEY! For the Kuroshitsuji stuff, I swear he'd make a good Ciel

Why did Shizuo hate Izaya so much? That's the only part that's confusing.

It's animal instinct, which tells Shizuo must terminate Izaya or he will never have peace in his life. Shizuo is more dependent on animal instinct than on human intelligence, so he just does what instinct tells.

It's testament to how great this series is that a character who didn't make all that much impact on me for six eps (Shizuo) has become a favorite character after the 7th. And as his back-story unfolded it all felt very natural and believable, almost as if I'd known about the character's past all along. This is really high-quality stuff here.

Even if there is such a rumor, it will remain a rumor given its popularity. I'm somehow interested to see if Durarara can challenge Touhou's and Vocaloid's domination over Pixiv in longer term.

Didn't like this episode as much since Shizou isn't a favorite of mine, I really would have liked to see him connect with Celty more but I guess BB was playing to the fangirls here.
And I wonder, does he know Kadota (as in, holds conversations with), or is it more of a former acquaintance thing? The littler interactions they had confused me, but I did love how all the characters seem to be related to all the characters, not just some.
And poor Celty, playing the straight man in all the violence.

Does anyone know what the next episode is going to be? I didn't see the trailer but I hear some people say Celty may be narrating again?

If that statement is true, they wouldn't have already reserved 24 slots already for the airing.

READ: It has already been confirmed 24 episodes at least from the very start. :| Even if it's not, the reception is positive anyway, what with that steady increase in DVD pre-order and novel selling... Poor people who wants to pre-order in Animate... Out of stock more than twice lol

Only if the anime can make favourable long-term impression if I would say. Touhou and Vocaloid was like a legend in there Still, I'm enjoying the amount of good short-mangas *COUGH*BL*COUGH* delivered everyday. They are pure crack sometimes <3

Eh, not really. Shizuo usually does things based on his emotion and he has never like Izaya from bad feeling he always got when he was around. Izaya only ended up confirming this by making his life miserable whenever he had chance finally leading up to the arrest.
