Episode 8 and it still half-feels like intro. But I don't care; I'm enjoying it so far. Characters are nice. Ferris is moe. And several hawt guys as well (what more can a girl want?). In addition, the opening song is my favorite of the season too. :-)

Yes, I get that point. And if it'snt going to have a subforum because of that, I'm right with it. But the thing here is that he/she said it wasn't worth it because he/she thought this show was boring. And I don't think it's reason enough, as I stated above.

Off topic aside, and back to the Sion likes, I had the impression, seeing how he reacted to his assistent dead, He likes men .

Episode 8 went by fast, I wanted to watch Fraude fight Klogh but unfortunately Noa had to intervene.

Well it seems that Episode 9 will be quite epic.

this anime is even more interesting than VK (within the fantasy genre). It's a shame it's only the prequel. I hate to think of the day when the series ends and us fans are dying for answers that would never come.

I'm not too familiar with how animation studios work. But note that the sequel actually has a different title, so it won't end up as "Densetsu no Yuusha no Densetsu 2". Will that make a difference to this particular studio? Also, will another studio take it up with an independent license since the titles are different? Though that might cause an inconsistent issue.

Well, I personally feel it's hard for the anime to do this kind of story complete justice, especially since the entire thing is a prologue LOL. The story will probably be more successful in novel form, like other western fantasies (david eddings, ed greenwood, etc. etc.). I personally prefer the novel, as it's more descriptive, such as when Ryner is really serious when he radiates killing intent (殺気 sakki). Not sure how they are going to animate this when he fights "you-know-who" for the second time after episode 9. There are also a lot of inner thoughts in the novel, which can really help you understand the situations, fights, and why 1 side is having a particular advantage over the other side etc. etc. That's one of the reasons that got me furthering Japanese after JLPT3 to JLPT2 five years ago, and upcoming N1 maybe next year.

I think they refer to the fact studio Zexcs has never done a good anime. They've been involved in some good anime, but they've never done anything good on their own. I think even Gonzo has better titles.

The show had potential but at the minute it doesn't really seem to have any meaningful plot and is jumping all over the place and doesn't really know what it wants to do.

That's probably because it's still building up and introducing the characters. It should get on track once it starts with the main plot. At least I hope it does.

I agree the plot is jumping around but seeing as how many novels need to be covered I kinda accept this and just watch for the fun of it.

Episode 8 was ok, a severe lack of Ryner and Ferris antics this episode, at one point it felt like I was watching Guin Saga again. Lookes like episode 9 shifts back to a focus on Ryner and Ferris, so that's good.
