Sounds awesome. That probably means I can watch it in public and in front of my family without worrying about it this will be a very fun watch. Hopefully it becomes something along of the lines of Erin in the story telling rather than Inazuma Eleven.

My current impression is that it woud just morph but hard to tell for sure at the moment. I'm almost sure they're not just armor add-ons though since those limbs do not look like they accomadate the original parts beneath it.
A realistic maintanence-hanger part changing is possible but my gut sems to be with morphing at the moment. If it is, I hope it's explained/elaborated decently well (even if magical like in presentation/pseudo science). I kinda like the mecha technological background info in Gundams.

As a production company you can't just come op with any number of episodes.. A TV station has to fill in a time slot for a season (50 episode), so if you just come up with 35 episodes they will have to find someone else to fill in the rest of the season, which might not be easy. the current formats are: (6?), 12, 23, 50.

It doesn't look like there's space for some of the extra parts to be add-ons a la Strikers or Full Armour [in particular, the limbs are notably thinner on the Sparrow than on the regular form] so my money's on parts swapping; limbs will be swapped out either in the hangar, or on the field.

The premise does sound very interesting and original for Gundam, getting to see a war span 100 years with 3 different main characters? It's good to see Sunrise finally trying something really different with Gundam, and it has me a bit excited.
At the very least we can expect high quality animation like from 00, so even if the story doesn't quite deliver I can enjoy this for the mecha porn. I really like the Boxer form, Titus I believe it is called.

At least there won't be any "random kid stumbling upon Gundam and then goes on and pilot it" scenario here... The dying mom handing the kid the blueprint of the Gundam, and the kid going on to build and pilot it is a pretty unique scenario in this franchise.

Just want to remind the thread: do not reply to troll posts. Report them, and then let the mods deal with it. If you reply to trolls, you will only fuel the fire, and those who do this repeatedly will also have to be warned. Troll posts are stupid from the offset and do not deserve any sort of acknowledgement or reply other than deletion.

I hope it's decent as the premise sounds all right, but I don't think I'll ever get used to those character designs, they're just too iconic of certain shows (and I love some of those) that I don't want to see them even in a wider-audience Gundam even though I'll watch and enjoy them elsewhere and these aren't even particularly great ones of that style IMO, and I'm a fan of Level 5, I just don't think this one of their several art styles they could have chosen from given their good array of cool games is fitting or particularly desirable for a Gundam, even if they try to use them in V Gundam ways, I just don't want this particular art style. I really wish they married this potentially interesting generational idea with a different one.

You know, all these discussions about character designs... And we went through the same exact discussions ten years ago, with people complaining about the big-eyed, skinny bishounen designs that Hirai did for Seed, and how they "weren't Gundam"... Plus the designs were also said to be "kiddy" and the director even commented that he made the show so kids would line up at the toy stores to gobble up the toys...
And here we are, ten years later, with a bad case of deja vu.

That's the fandom for ya ...
To be sure, I sort of warmed up to the designs (at least the Son/Grandson's ones) and I don't really see anything so far as being objectionable (I still have my reservations on the UE designs and the main Gundam). Of course, it all comes down to your personal taste and whether or not you like what you see or try and be more accepting about it, or even then you can just not like it. I mean, the designs of SEED weren't exactly to my liking, but I still loved that show and rank it as my 4th favorite Gundam show, right after Wing, another show that employees a bishounen designs. Hell even 00 had bishounen like designs ... and some still didn't like it. Personally, there is no problem in not liking a design of a show. That ultimately boils down to your tastes, and as long as I share them in a understandable manner, there shouldn't be a problem. So far, I think the problem are really the doom sayers (''This is the worst show I've ever seen'' ''Man, this show is worse than Destiny'' ''I hate everyone here, they all do nothing and are annoying'') who don't like the designs, but talk like they had seen the show already from start to finish, and the regular ''this will never be better than 00/Seed/Wing/G/ZZ/Unicorn/X/etc.'' crowd who have their own favorite Gundam and conclude that this one must automatically suck because its not their favorite show. ''it's fine to dislike stuff, just try and be civil or rational about it'' is really a foreign idea to some fans.
