OK, fellas, I know that there is an inactivity in this thread because I have some real life, hence the inactivity of this trend. I think I still haven't write the stories of both Vol.20 and Vol.21 yet, As of this writing of this trend, Kagami-sensei is working on manuscripts for both the upcoming new game and the upcoming books of this series. I don't have any new updates other than follow up the news from Kagami-sensei himself via tweets but here is what I know,

Spoiler for Upcoming Volume 22-23:

1. A new antagonist will make his/her debut that will going to be much more challenging than many of Hiroto's rivals and enemies in the past.
2. Nothing is known about both books but here is my personal speculation about the plot.
   1. This would be a 2 parter like the previous 4 books (though, for some reason, Kagami-sensei focusing on Book 23 before 22, assuming the latter has already done).
   2. Speaking of which, considering Kagami strongly focuses on Book 23, Book 22 is basically about the break from the main story just like Book 9 and focusing other characters like Felkina and Raquel and Leonidas, whereas Book 23 returns to the main arc.
3. Whichever the case, according to Kagami sensei himself, either both or one of these new books heavily focuses on a treaty that is inspired from the Treaty of Westphalia.

I will gonna do the speculations later on.

Anyways, a long awaited manga chapter is finally here and this is where the election is truly

Spoiler for Manga Chapter 46 Summary :

1. The chapter begins with Feuillet entering the Primaria Cathedral on the day of the election day and his remark about the upcoming . So, he asked Rudin again for help but Rudin refused again, causing the Secondaria Lord to leave the first debate to Torlan while remarking about him losing to a kid like Hiroto who only arrived in this new world for 3 months.
2. Meanwhile, Excelis remarks about her facing off with Hiroto as a rival but for some reason, she kinda, even to the point having fascination about Hiroto embraces her oppai. Either way, she snaps herself back
3. Speaking of Hiroto, he is confronted by a nervous Sentelio tells him that he never been a debate but Hiroto tells him that he got this covered even if he loses. Before the debate, Valkyria gives Hiroto a kiss on his cheek whereas both Mimia and Sorceire cheers him up. Then, Hiroto sits with Feuillet, who himself already disgusted to meet him and talk something about Rudin's mistake on choosing a runt like Hiroto, but Hiroto doesn't seems to mind, for whatever the reasons.
4. Anyways , the first debate begins with a 3 candidates' respective stewards telling everyone about supporting their respective lords by explaining their policies, with Excelis's steward being the first, then Sentelio whose nervousness makes Hiroto's allies rightfully worried, and then lastly Torlan who is surprisingly good in debates by bring up Ulkan's dreams while using his snark against Hiroto, though Hiroto himself seems amused by it.
5. With the first debate is over, Feuillet's smugly remarks his relief and then checking on Hiroto if he is shaken because of Sentelio 's poor performance, only to be partially surprised to see Hiroto smiles and winks at him instead which prompt Feuillet to think either his young rival has some trick in his sleeves or he is a fool. Nonetheless, the manga ends with a cliff-hanger where Hiroto is looking forward for this debate (Manga exclusive).

OK, folks. I know it is been long but after a long wait, we finally has an update on the latest book is finally out. The cover isn't out yet but here is a bits of teaser for the upcoming book.

Hiroto is feuding with a new rival namely Golgint, an arrogant Agnican aristocrat who thinks that he is above the law and rule his province with an iron fist, of which putting the peace between Agnica and Gassel in danger. Consequently, his behavior resulting the dismissal of Sibyl the Gasselian merchant whose protest ends up leading to her murder, leading her sister Calicula to seek Hybride for help but Hybride cannot do anything due to the alum stones with Agnica.

Sorry for the late post, folks. It looks like my own laptop was now rendered unusable because of of I had a new computer, plus I need to update that series' wikia as well because...well, the site needs a great overhaul, if you know what I mean.

Anyways, these are the official illustrations for Volume 22 and we're entering a new arc and it is getting so challenging that even the ever cunning Hiroto is having a dilemma because of 2 things.

Spoiler for Hiroto's problems in Volume 22:

1. Not everyone at Agnica agreed with the proposal he made that lead to the peace between Agnica and Gassel. People in Port Sarika remains dissatisfied by the treaty from the last book in regards of the taxation policies. As such,
2. Nobles in Hybride are trying to no cooperate with Leonidas again by passing through their resolution in against the war taxation, mainly because Leonidas listening to only Hiroto's suggestion and both Univestel and Panopticus specifically warns him to stop relying on Hiroto

Spoiler for Volume 22 plotline based on the illustrations and plot.:

1. Excelis doesn't feel so well because one incident that gave Hiroto trouble. Yes, really. More on that later...
2. Speaking of which, here are Hiroto and his girls are playing the game that is taking place at the casino, of which taking place. Unfortunately, before Hiroto can even play the game, Excelis play the game under her drunken state and lose the game. With 6000 Cross. Naturally, Golgint mocks Hiroto and even worse, the casino staff refuse to help him. That is until Mimia is next to challenge him into that game and surprisingly win the game, meaning that Hiroto .
   1. As the result of that casino incident, Excelis is heavily reprimanded by Alvy for disgracing the elf's name . Luckily for her, Hiroto forgives her
   2. As for Golgint, he is still angry by his humiliating defeat by Mimia the "peasant" that let Hiroto got away from it, so much so that he even wanting to get his hands on him but unable to because Valkyria was there (remember that Phyllis and Noblesia made that terrible mistake once, as well as Magia where), though this doesn't stops him from tempting to make Hiroto's life miserable (Bourgault and Hydran tried their attempts twice and guess how the consequences bit them back)-even if it means cutting off the alum stones supplies to Hybride by sinking a Hybridian ship that delivers said supplies back to that kingdom.
3. Curele calling Soichirowith her tears on her eyes while holding the book. Don't tell me that Golgint did something terrible to him?!
4. Meet Sibyl , a Gasselian merchant who arrives at Port Sarika for a fruit that is looks like a durian but, as the stories goes on, she becomes irritated because the Agnica merchant makes a ridiculous price with a jerkish behavior and her complains only gets her dismissed and she vows to let Metis know about this incident so she can destroy the port. Not long afterwards, she got killed by the river pirates, courtesy to Golgint's orders.
5. For a very long time, Hiroto and Metis is seen reunite again and they seemly talking about the game they played recently. I supposed that this is for the

Ladies and gentlemen, meet Calicula the first human loli in this series who happens to be a sister to the late Sibyl and goes to Sarika in order to find out her sister's murder and bring it too justice. Sadly, she doesn't get any answer because Sarika residents still treats her terribly just because she is an Gasselian, courtesy to Golgint who not only making sure that she will not get what she wants, he also want that girl join her sister in the afterlife too. Fortunately for her, she spots a Hybridan ship where Slara and Luluk and her new husband are taking back to Salabria.
   1. Calicula doesn't go to Sarika alone, though. She is accompanied by 2 knights who really aren't as useful as it seemed. She once ordered to kick the Agnician merchant's ass for denying her appeal but they didn't.
   2. They also urged Calicula do not report to Metis afterwards which easily annoys Calicula for a good reason.
7. Hiroto and Leonidas are here to discuss not just about the casino incident, but also a meeting between nobles who just passed their protest against war taxation, giving Hiroto a sober reminder that the nobles in Hybride still despise him no matter how good his eloquence is. Things are not looking good on Leonidas too, however, because he is constantly being reminded by both Univestel and Panopticus specifically advise the king to stop relying too much on Hiroto while readily to listen to others because, you guess it, many nobles in the kingdom are repulsed by Leonidas's favoritism , of which garnered Leonidas's annoyance due to his trust for Hiroto. (I mean, these two should know by now that Hiroto's orthodox thinking was the reason why Hybride survive from it's enemies-a feat that not even veteran nobles can matched.)
8. Hiroto and Calicula finally meets for the first time and the latter asking him to help her to avenge her sister's death. Unfortunately, as angry and frustrated as he feels for Sibyl's death, Hiroto is having a dilemma because this means waging a war against Agnica and the nobles just passing through the anti-war taxation resolution not too long ago. The preview chapter ends with a cliffhanger where Calicula cries and plea Hiroto to help her because Sibyl has been taken care of her after the death of her late mom.

Basically, some people at Agnica still acting jerkish despite the treaty between Agnica and Gassel that supposed to bring peace between both kingdoms from the last book, and things are only to get ugly when a new character is introduced and unfortunately for our heroes,

Spoiler for The antagonists in Volume 22:

• Count Golgint of Port Sarika at Agnica is the main antagonist in this book and his rivalry with Hiroto is the new arc's main spotlight. He is one of Gudrun's major supporter and one of 5 most influential aristocrat in the kingdom but he thinks that he himself is the law in the town he is ruling. He meets Hiroto at the casino and, as always, he belittles our MC and then mocking him when Excelis losing the game. While his feud against Hiroto is as typical as the other villains in the series, with his hatred against Hiroto isn't any different than any of Hiroto's enemies what's make Golginteven more dangerous is that he isn't a sloppy guy in what he does and he will make sure he see it through. Sibyl becomes the victim of his dirty deed because he hated Gassel merchant so much that he orders some of his men, who themselves disguise as river pirates, to "make her disappear". That makes him much like a hypocrite because he did mocks Hiroto for being a "coward" for fleeing away or depending his harem to do his game while he himself doesn't want to to get rid of anyone who escape his port before they can report to Metis about it.
• Unsurprisingly, Hybrdian nobles also making their appearance again but this time, and they are against the war taxation and the only way to get them comply is restoring Hydran's honor, making Hiroto's work even more difficult. Finnath and Gollard and Lemaire are the ones who lead this who attended that meeting, only Rasmus, Limbeld and Margus did not attend said meeting because of their health conditions.

Sorry for the late posts for 3 months ago because I got some busy things to do lately...

Anyways, yeah, after reading Volume 22 it seems to me that Hybride doesn't deserve Hiroto because even after what Hiroto been through, some people STILL loathe Hiroto and want him gone. All because of this Alum Stones from Agnica. I dunno what to say about this but it seems to me that Hybride's worst enemy is not just the outside forces, but also domestic corruption too. (Looking at YOU, Hydran and others)

Spoiler for Volume 22 about Hiroto's Warning That Gone Unheeded:

Despite his eloquence, Hiroto is overwhelmed by the Privy Council's objection against his suggestion to help Calicua's appeal against Golgint for killing Sybil and the unfair deal, including Univestel and Panopticus and even Sylferis. What really hurting Hiroto the most is that Leonidas rejects his suggestion for the first time in his life while agreeing with Univestel's plan over his own by sending envoys to both Sarika and Gasel for a talk, and this despite Hiroto's warning that sending envoys will, considering that Sibyl's death has technically putting both kingdoms at war and Golgint will not taking Hybride seriously-something Leonidas brushed off.

Consequently, Hiroto's prediction becomes 89% true because Alvy's audience with Ismir ended in disaster because a suggestion to have a talk with Agnica made queen so furious that she walked away while the meeting was still ongoing, and Sōichirō's only reason for his success in his mission was due to Curele's sudden appearance and it took a combination of both Curele's demonstration of power and Sōichirō's performance forced Sarica Trading Court to accept Calicua's appeal and reversed the unfair trade decision towards Gasel;even more surprising is that Golgint complied with Hybride's terms without resistance but, just as Hiroto forewarned Leonidas, even after seeing Curele and the vampires he ordered his men to not take Hybride seriously so long the kingdom didn't send it's fleet or Hiroto appears with the vampires. Additionally, Hiroto also has a hunch that Golgint was pretending and boy, he was right because Golgint immediately revert the trading court decision the moment Curele and Sarica and declared that anyone who stand in his way will die.

Spoiler for Plotline according to Volume 22's More Illustrations:

1. Both Raquel and Felkina are the only few who support Hiroto during the meeting and they also warned Hiroto about how the Privy Council are acting hostile towards him so suddenly. Unfortunately for them however, neither women ever anticipate that Leonidas is also brush off Hiroto's advice- a decision can have disastrous consequences for Hybride, considering that one merchant's death has already put both Agnica and Gasel at war
2. The appearance of both Curele and Soichiro at Sarica Port and it is there we see Sōichirō' shines, with him using the same eloquence like Hiroto to those who mocked him as a "stick insect". Just because of his own skinny size. Folks in Sarica who mocked both Curele and Soichiro are shaken by the former's prowess whose wind ripping the trading court's roof apart, just like how she destroyed Hydran's own mansion
3. Calicua is so moved by what Soichirodid at Sarica that she actually hold his hand and thanking him. Much to our MC's friend's blushing. We also learn that the reason why Ismir was so angry about Hybride for not bringing Golgint into justice for Sybil's murder was because the latter often brought delicious food to the palace. Meanwhile, what happened at Sarica Port made Golgint extremely furious because the trading judge has accepted the appeal which deemed defiance against his order, but at the same time he was also afraid of the vampires after seeing them in action so he had to lay low for a while, though he still
4. Leonidas is shocked by both news in regards of the envoys: The good news is that due to Curele's surprise appearance has caused the Sarica Trading Court to reverse their decision to ignore Gasel's merchant unfair trade and Golgint was surprisingly cooperative. The bad news is, of course, Alvy's mission to Gassel ended disastrously because that suggestion for a talk only ended up enraged Ismir so much that she immediately leaves during the. Either way, the mixed results doesn't improves the Privy Council's relationship with Hiroto as one Lord Chancellor use sarcasm to mock Hiroto about using the vampires to solve everything, whereas Hiroto suspect that Golgint's uncharacteristic compliance to Hybride's demand is anything but genuine and he had a hunch that the aristocrat will turn 180 soon. The following result of the envoys forces Leonidas [/B to face a harsh reality about Gasel's wrath for Hybride's inaction against Golgint and starting to have regrets for not listening to Hiroto's advice to send a fleet to Sarica-a plan the king himself refused to go along because it would made Golgint even more hostile against him . Univestel, who was the one who suggested that terrible idea in the first place,
5. Just as Hiroto feared, Golgint does immediately revoke the Trading Court's previous decision about the unfair taxation onto B] Gaselian merchants once Curele and Soichiro left Sarica, with a resolve to kill anyone who stand in his way. One month later, Calicua is going to experience the same terrible treatment from folks in Sarica just like her late sister. The fruit she is about to purchase is 3 times higher than the original price (albeit on purpose) and her appeal to the Trading Court is largely ignored again (Golgint had the head judge who accepted Calicua's appeal executed), causing her to yell that Metis will going to kill them for them until the appearance of the river pirates (the same one that killed Sybil) causes her to shiver in fear. Unlike Sybil, however, Calicua escapes during the chaos by jumping into a river but her fate remains unknown which is served as the novel's cliffhanger

The rivalry between Hiroto and Golgint is going to take a new level of hostility, specifically where the main antagonist is now setting a trap for our MC in order to ruin his career, all the while knowing that Metis responds by going patrolling Sarica, mostly out of concern about Ismir's well being.
