As the title says. There are so many characters in different animes who died an epic death. But there is one person to you who you've seen their death is the most epic one.

- Example:
01. Asuma Sarutobi (Naruto)
02. Edward Newgate "Whitebeard" (One Piece)
03. Himura Kenshin (Rurouni Kenshin)
04. Hiruzen Sarutobi "Third Hokage" (Naruto)
05. Hughes (Fullmetal Alchemist)
06. Itachi Uchiha (Naruto)
07. Jiraiya (Naruto)
08. L (Death Note)
09. Kamina (Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann)
10. Lelouch Lamperouge (Code Geass)
11. Light Yagami (Death Note)
12. Lockon Stratos (Gundam 00)
13. Portgas D. Ace (One Piece)
14. Saber (Fate/stay Night)
15. Spike Spiegel (Cowboy Bebob)

Any other?

To me I'm between Ace & Whitebeard. But If I have to choose, it would be Whitebeard. Never seen any character died while they still standing.

Kamina, pretty much. I know of the others but don’t think they were epic; and with how many people die in some of the shows mentioned, how could they be.

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann: Spoiler for episode 8: Kamina's demise. It's a massive shock that permanently changes the direction and mood of the story. His death starts the series' transition from being a parody of Super Robot series to being a reconstruction of them. In the previous episodes he appears to be the hero of the story with his charismatic personality and the fact that he's essentially the leader of the Gurren Brigade with the true protagonist Simon as his sidekick. His death also allows and forces Simon to step out from his shadow. The way he dies is also quite memorable and a brilliant bit of mood whiplash. After snapping Simon out of his brief depression over Yoko choosing Kamina during the middle of battle, he is stabbed by Thymilph causing Simon, and probably many viewers (I know I did), to fall right back into depression. Then suddenly, he gets back up! He's alive! He's going to make it! And he teams up with Simon, gives an inspiring speech to Simon, and invents the series' iconic Giga Drill Breaker move and finishes off Thymilph. It's pretty much the most awesome he's ever done. And then, he says "Farewell, comrades" or "Later, buddy" in the English dub and then dies for real.

Kameruka Hen-Tie Join Date: Apr 2010 Location: Hen-Tie pen	Spoiler for Though their fates remain uncertain but I still believe that they are dead: Haruka and Sora in Yosuga no Sora. Not really epic but it was perfectly done. While it left us too many moral question but at least they got what they always wanted, to die and go to heaven together. Ironically lots of people were disgusted with this, unlike School Days' "Nice Boat".

Not only did it come as a shock because the author refrained from killing a major character in the series since it started about 550 chapters ago and ends up killing two off in the same arc, but also because it majorly changed the world the story is set in and deeply affected the main character Luffy, showing how much an influence these characters held. Plus, Whitebeard was standing up when he died, which is very badass. If you gotta die, do it with a bang.~ __________________

After being fatally injured, he awaited for the longest time to have a drink with Mittermeyer. He didn't survive until then so the Gale Wolf only found two glasses and his child left behind when he finally arrived. Rose of Versailles: Spoiler for Rose of Versailles 39-40: There are two in rapid succession here. But I'd say Andre's demise was the more epic one. The final words in here are the most impactful I've ever heard. "That's right, I can't die. Everything is just starting. The dawn of a new age and the love between us. I can't die at a time like this. I won't die..." Followed by Oscar's heartfelt answer, when she didn't notice that he wasn't there anymore. And the next episode... "Adieu". Maybe it was for the best. SDF Macross: Spoiler for SDF Macross ep 18: Focker comes back to his lover and plays guitar. Just like it was a normal day. Then he falls over and dies to his injuries. Hokuto no Ken has quite a few as well: Spoiler for Hokuto no Ken 56-57: When Rei keeps his back turned to Mamiya and shouts at her: "Don't follow me... I don't want you to see my horrible death" I think Rei let some of his emotion to be heard in that sentence. Then he went into the abandoned building and died alone. No one went to check on his body. They burned the building with him. Followed by Ken's epic words: "Your legend will never fade."

I create the world" one of the most epic statement after watching 50 episodes.... this is really a final conclusion Any deaths in Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica are very epic too.... from Mami's death, Kyouko's death, and Madoka's death (in ep 10 time loop 2nd) Ace and Whitebeard maybe one of the most epic too....... "ONE PIECE IS REAL" T_T I will add my list but not now (need to think again)
